My hand reached up to switch off the alarm clock kept on the bedside table. 5 A. M. I felt groggy as I had spent most of the night watching Netflix.
Ohhh wait!!..it's.. It's.. 28 JULY!
it's my BIRTHDAY! OH YES!
I climbed out of my bed in haste, my feet got tangled in the sheets and I...whhaam!!!
woow what a great way to start a special day!!
I walked into the bathroom and started brushing my teeth... Oh! My perfect pearl white teeth!
Out of nowhere, something soft landed on my shoulders. What I saw in the mirror in front of me made me shout out loud! I screamed at top of my lungs! It was a SNAKE! A SNAKE! I might faint anytime.. And the snake would kill me! Ohh! I didn't want to die on my birthday!!
After a few seconds of screaming, I heard someone giggling behind me. I turned...and Ohh! Hell!.. It was him... My eight year old monster. Yes monster.. That's what I call my brother.. He ruins everything... He ruined my last birthday by accidentally hitting me with a bat in the eye... It was swollen for 2 weeks!
It was a toy snake on my shoulder... Ohh!!... I should have known that! It wasn't moving at all...
The monster was still laughing..
"oh god! Hahahhahha.. You looked Soooo terrified! You are such a coward! A mad little poop! " He teased me.
My face was red with anger... It was my day and such things shouldn't happen! "SHUT UP YOU STUPID! " I yelled. I advanced on him and pushed him roughly. Fear reflected on his face as he fell down. "NOW SAY! WHO'S COWARD!!! " I shouted.
"OH MAN! what's happening... Seriously.. You guys even fight this early in the morning! " My dad came inside the room with a frown... And then he smiled, his lovingly fatherly smile.. Which always made me feel the happiest... He walked towards me and hugged me... "Happy Birthday my baby..very very happy Birthday."
"THANKYOUUUU sooo much daddy!! " I hugged him back.
"oh yeah yeah... Forget me, then.. I don't even exist for you guys.. " My brother said, jealousy dripping from every word.
"oh man.... I equally love both of you... So, tiya, you going for running practice today too? "
"Ahh yes dad... The Marathon's after a week.. And I shall not miss my practice. "I said in a sincere tone.
"Hmmm.. Good baby.. " daddy smiled and patted my cheeks.
"Uhhhh.. Good baby.. "the monster mimicked my dad in a very weird tone.
I ignored him.
"see you baby after you come back! I have a special breakfast for you! " he said, kissed me on my forehead, and left my room. The monster followed him.
