You weren't safe

I'm sorry but I love cats, your character has a couple which she cares for dearly.

You wake up to the sun shining through the sliding glass doors and to the smell of eggs and sausage. You groggily get out of bed and head down stairs, you reach the kitchen and lean against a wall, "morning sleepy head, did you sleep well?" Steve says, smiling while cooking breakfast, "I did actually, how about you?" You said while yawning, "Well I don't know how good you can sleep when you are forced to sleep on the couch," he says with a sly smirk, now this smirk you can get used too, "oh shut up" you say giggling, "I never made you sleep on the couch, you offered." You start to walk to the dining room and take a seat at the table, "I know, I know" he says while chuckling, "I'm just too much of a gentleman," he proudly smiles at you, you roll your eyes and laugh. He walks over to you and sits down next to you and hands you silver ware and a plate of food and starts to dig into his own plate, "Thank you, it smells delicious." You take a bite, "and tastes delicious too!" You say giggling with a mouth full of food. "I'm glad you like it!" He laughs too at your dorky response. "So I was wondering if you have any maps of the area," you ask, "I want to see if I can find my house." He puts down his fork, "yeah, right over here." He leads you to a cabinet and opens it to a bunch of maps and pulls out one, "here are all the houses I mapped out in a 100 mile radius, you are bound to find your house here," you gleam, "perfect!" You grab the map and walk over to the table and roll it out. You look around through it and look for a plains biome, you notice one only a half a days walk from here and see your house smack dab in it. "Aha! There it is!" "Do you think you could use some company for walking there?" You can tell he just wants to be with you, and is almost a little sad for you to leave so soon, "of course!" You smile at him and he relaxes and smiles back at you too. You gather some stuff and walk towards your house with a map in hand and a man to your left
*3 hours later*
"And I told the villager if he wanted me to keep protecting him, he's gonna need to give me better deals. The next day I come back and the prices were doubled!" Steve was finishing a funny story and you couldn't help but giggle, "oh my goodness, that sure went well for you!" You continue chatting with him for about another 5 min or so until you reach your house, "oh I missed my babies so much!" You swing the door opened and are greeted with three Persian cats, 1 who is fully black named Henry, another pure white name Charles, and finally a orange/white one name Timothy, who always had his tongue sticking out. You get down on one knee and let them climb on you, you are muffled by fur and purrs, "oh my babies, I missed you too!" You say giggling, Steve just stands awkwardly by the door, "You know it's probably not safe for you to stay here, I mean Herobrine already knows where you live, right?" "That is true," you know he just wants you to stay, but you guess he probably thinks you went straight back home, " so maybe you could stay with me for a while, just to keep you safe, not for any other reason, don't worry," he awkwardly says, while blushing, you blush too at his dorky manner. "I'll even build you a second bed and everything!" He really wants you to stay, you realize you feel the same way, "alright alright, I'll stay with you," you say laughing at his persistence, "as long as I get to take my cats," you say while hugging your big eyed cat Timothy, "Of course!" He exclaims happily, with the biggest smile on his face. You grab your cats and grab three leashes and start walking back to his home.
*3 hours later*
By the time you arrived at his home, it was late afternoon. You walk in and give your cats some food and water, while you are doing this, Steve is at work making you a new bed. "Need any help?" You ask, trying to do something to repay him for all he has done for you, "no I got it, thank you tho," "are you sure?" "No really I got it," " Ok if you insist," you walk back down stairs and sit next to Henry on the couch, he's the only cat who isn't scared of the new environment. You pet his soft black fur and he purrs loudly. While petting Henry, you hear a loud grunt followed by a thump, "is everything ok up there?" No response, "Hello?" You decide to investigate, afraid Steve might have hurt himself. You walk up the stairs cautiously, "Steve? Are you ok?" You peer around the stairs to a horrifying sight, "Steve!" You run over to him, he is limp against a wall, you check his pulse, you let out a sigh of relief, 'Good, he's still alive, but how could have this happened?' Suddenly, you hear footsteps approach you from behind, you turn around to face a fearful sight, it was Herobrine, with an enchanted sword in hand, "You know I heard you walk out of the door to escape, I gave you a day to feel like you were free, to give you false hope, not to go visit this...this...GAH" he stabs his sword into he bed post, he pulls it out and glares at you then Steve, "What did you do to him!" You demanded, you had a mix of fear, and anger, why can't he just leave you alone? "Oh relax, it's just a sleeping spell, now come on, we are going home," he grabs your arm and starts to lead you down the stairs, you try to fight and stay planted but it doesn't work at all, "No, let go of me you freak!!" At that moment, he swiftly pins you to a wall and puts his hand in your neck and against the wall, "Don't you ever call me that, understood?" Apparently this word hits a soft spot for him. He sets you down and you just try to gasp for air, "Understood!?" You are too busy gasping for air to answer him with his understood like he wanted, "You don't learn, do you" with that sentence he grabs his sword and brings it up to your chest and slices a thin line across it, not very deep but extremely painful, "Ahhhh" you scream grabbing it and crying, you hunch over in pain, when you screamed Steve started to open his eyes, fighting the sleeping spell with all of his might, but you didn't notice. Herobrine then grabs your hair and pulls it back and says, "Now, do you understand" his white eyes flames with anger, "yes." You say with tears falling out of your eyes and a lot of fear. "Let go of her, asshole," you look over and Steve is standing with a diamond sword, noticeably tired but ready to fight. Herobrine let's go of your hair and starts to walk over to Steve with an angry look, "Steve, what a pleasant surprise," with that word, he swings his sword at Steve almost touching him before Steve brings up his sword and blocks the attack. He then flips around Herobrine and swiftly pins him up against the wall with his word against his neck, "right back at you." Herobrine growls in response and jerkingly pushes Steve off, causing Steve to stumble back and catch his balance. Herobrine takes this chance to slice at his legs. Steve grunts to his knees and quickly puts his sword to block the attack of Herobrine inches away from his face. He uses his strength in his arms to push Herobrine away long enough for him to through a splash healing potion for him. This allows him to regain use in his legs and get back up, only to be cut in the stomach, he grabs an emcee pearl and teleports behind Herobrine and puts his sword around his neck, "Herobrine, I don't want to kill you, please just go home and we can leave each other be," Herobrine uses this to his advantage and kicks him in the groin then turns around. He grabs his shoulder and thrust his diamond sword straight into the stomach of Steve and then yanks it out, causing Steve to fall to his knees. He puts his hand to the wound and looks at it, it's soaked in blood, he also begins coughing up blood, "that's why I was always the better brother, I didn't hesitate to kill when I had the chance." You start to cry, "Noooo!!!" You push Herobrine out of the way and try to help Steve to his feet , but only for him to fall to his feet. "Please," you turn back toward Herobrine with tears in your eyes, "I'll do anything, just don't let him die." His eyes stop flaming, and he drops his sword, "Fine," he looks at you with sympathy and tells Steve to sleep, which he immediately does, then throws a healing potion on him. "Now you must come home with me," You silently agree, afraid that if you don't he would kill Steve. He walks you down the stairs and outside and grabs your shoulders to face him. He wipes a tear away, "I do care for you, you know that right, I just want you to listen to me," oh yeah right, he just almost killed his own brother and he says he cares? The tears almost feel hot now, "I know" you only say that so you don't get another scar, "Good" he smiles at you then puts his arm around you, "hold on to me tight," you look up at him I confusion but listen to him because again, you don't want to get hurt, then the world starts to spin and then it becomes normal again, only you are in his castle. "Now you go wash up in the bedroom, I'll expect to see you at dinner in 30 min." You walk to your room, and sob, sob about your almost lover, about your new dictator, and about everything, this whole situation is jacked up. You get up and look in the mirror, you look like shit, your eyes are red, hair is a mess, and your chest is starting to scar. You put your finger to it and feel it, then you look at the bath, that's probably the best way to rest right now and to freshen up. You walk in and close the door, 'this is going to be horrible' you think and start to run the bath and strip. When the bath is all filled up you get in and take a deep breathe, if only you could escape, and your thoughts start to dose off into fantasies of you and Steve running away and getting married...
