Prologue

I thought everything was fine and perfect. I had everything I wanted, I felt like the luckiest person in the world, so why? Why did everything have to turn out like this.

Rivan POV

One afternoon as I look out from the back porch I noticed how big of a tree we had in our backyard. We had a swing attached to one of the many branches of that beautiful oak tree. Mom told me he made it with dad, and that it was made of with all their love. That day I decided to climb the tree but, I ended up falling and scraping my knees. All I saw was mom running towards me in a panic, seeing if I had a concussion, he started to tear up and hug me only soon to carry me inside. He slid one of the glass sliding doors rushing to get to the bathroom, putting me on the sink counter and only to bring out the first aid kit from one of the cherry wood cabinets. As he starts to take care of my scrapes we sit in silence until I said something.

"I'm sorry mom." All he does is look up at me with what dad calls them "ocean eyes." Mom says nothing but, smiles and puts his hand up to my face only to rub my cheek it looks like he was going to cry but, all I can do is smile back at him. After awhile of cleaning my scrapes he ruffles my black hair only to say

"All done kiddo." with that same smile, if only I could see that smile one more time. Mom and I hear keys and the front door open. Mom takes me off the sink only for us to walk down the stairs to be greeted by my dad. "Hey bud how was mom today, did he get into trouble?" I shake my head. All I can hear is him laughing. He picks me up and hugs me tightly, only for mom to walk closer. "How was work, did you miss us?" Mom asked smiling. "Work was the same, I just couldn't wait to see my favorite people in the whole wide world." Dad pulls mom into the hug only to see both of them smiling. "I love you Eren." "And I love you as well Levi." If only things could have stayed this way forever but, it didn't because there was an accident that ended all accidents.
