The Hospital (Chapter 1)

Levi POV

As I start to stretch in my black task chair I hear someone call my name. "Mr. Ackerman you're needed in the comatose bay, one of your patients woke up." After hearing that I comply with a nod, and we start to walk out the room only to hear my name being called once again. "Levi~ ." I look behind me to see Petra walking towards me with her hands behind her back, smiling.

"Hello, Ms. Ral how are you doing today?" I continue walking as I talk to her. "Now, now you don't have to be so formal with me, we are friends. Aren't we?" I sigh in disbelief, it's true that we are friends but, we're at the hospital, working. That seems a bit unprofessional to say each other's first name while working.

"Ms. Ral I would prefer if you called me Mr. Ackerman while working because what you did was unprofessional." I can tell she stopped, me only to hear her heels walking towards me again. "I'm very sorry Mr. - ." Mr. Arlet cut her off. He's one of the nurses that work in the comatose bay. "Mr. Ackerman you finally arrived." He led me over to the patient. Historia Reiss, she's been with us for 4 years and she finally woke up. Many thought she wasn't going to make it, until now. "Ms. Riess, you've been in a coma for the past 4 years, you're in the hospital."

She shook her head in disbelief, only to see her look around confused and disoriented. "Mr. Ackerman Historia Reiss will be going through therapy sessions in room 310. She will start treatment when we get the 'ok' from her Father." I nod in agreement. "Mr. Arlet please inform her Father as soon as possible." "Already done sir, he should be coming within the next hour." He works fast as ever. "Thank you for your hard work Arlet, I hope you can manage from here." "Can do sir."

I start to walk back only to hear Petra start up a conversation again. "Mr. Ackerman, if you mind me asking, where are we heading." I sigh "I'm going to the breakroom to get my lunch, you just happened to follow me." After telling her that, the whole way to the breakroom was quiet. The minute we reach the breakroom and go inside I see Erwin sitting down eating a sandwich. Great instead of Thing 1 and Thing 2 I got fucking eyebrows and strawberry shortcake. "Hey, Mr. Ackerman or should I say, Levi?" "Tch."

There was a split moment with silence until Erwin broke it with a question. "How's Eren, it's been awhile since the last time I saw him? Is he happy?" Levi got ticked off with that last part Erwin had said. "Eren is fine, we both love each other very much, all I can see when I get home is his brilliant smile." Erwin smiled internally when he realized he provoked Levi. "I'm sorry I was just asking." When he says that he puts both hands up in front of him. "Levi what are you doing tonight? Are you free?"

"I'm going home to see my family, have dinner, sleep with my lovely husband, I'm booked maybe next time." Levi shrugs. "Well, Levi if you're so booked why don't Petra and I come over for dinner to see the family then. Levi forgot Petra was right by him until he looked over at her and said, "Levi that wouldn't be so bad right?" Levi stood there with both people staring at him until he came to his answer. "Fine!" He only said yes because he knew they would pester him later. Erwin now had a smile on his face. Levi heard him mumble something but, didn't know what it was "I'll get to see you Eren."
