Chanyeol knew this moment would come. Him sat in detention for indecent exposure. It was a price he had to pay for what he had done earlier that morning. Sehun was laughing harder than he should have been but honestly, it made the entire school laugh, including himself.
Earlier that day...
"Oh my actual god." Sehun says, standing at the school gates. "You actually did it?"
Chanyeol smiles smugly, everyone staring at him. "Of course. I told you that I would take the punishment for calling off the bet."
What was he doing? He was stood in his funniest boxers; they were bright neon pink with the slogan 'pull down in an emergency' written across the front.
"You are gonna get into so much trouble wearing them." Sehun says laughing. "How did your mom not catch you?"
Chanyeol and Sehun start walking into school. "I took my trousers off at the corner before school so I didn't have to walk all the way here like this. I would have been arrested." Chanyeol explains.
"You still could be arrested." Sehun states. "I'm kinda embarrassed about walking next to you so god knows how you feel right now because no offence, but you can see everything."
Chanyeol quickly peers down and looks back up. "God damn it. Oh well, I'll be in detention anyway and I'll be made to put my trousers back on again."
As they reach their locker, all the students are looking and making comments. "You're gonna be called boxer boy for a very long time as well."
They open up their lockers when LuHan and Baekhyun join them. "What in gods name are you wearing?" LuHan asks.
"Chanyeol lost the bet," He says, replying to LuHan.
"Wait, what bet?" Baekhyun asks, confused.
Sehun and Chanyeol look at each other with Chanyeol evil-eying him. "Just a stupid bet, that's all."
"Don't worry about it," Chanyeol replies, "anyway, I best -"
"Park Chanyeol. Detention now. And put on some trousers." They hear a teacher say from behind.
They start laughing except Baekhyun who is still confused. Chanyeol rolls his eyes playfully and walks off towards detention.
Throughout class, Baekhyun can't stop wondering about this bet. He knows he shouldn't worry but the fact that Sehun and LuHan knows makes him curious. Why would they know and not tell me? He keeps gazing over at LuHan who only smiles at him before focusing back on work.
"What was the bet?" Baekhyun asks, walking out of class with LuHan.
LuHan sighs. "Don't worry about it."
"Then why do you know about it and I don't? Am I involved in this bet or something?"
"Look, Sehun and Chanyeol had a bet and Chanyeol lost. Sehun said he dropped out of the bet to protect you."
"Protect me from what?" Baekhyun asks, getting frustrated.
The two stop in the middle of the hallway. Students look at them, focusing on Baekhyun. Everything is still loud from everyone talking. "Protect you from getting hurt. Chanyeol forfeited the bet so you didn't get hurt."
"Hurt...?" Baekhyun asks quietly.
A student walks up to him. "Baek, do you know what Chanyeol did to you at a previous party?"
"Huh? What are you on about?" The student holds her phone out to show a picture of the night Baekhyun made out with Chanyeol when he was drunk at LuHan's party. "Chanyeol forcing Baekhyun to kiss him?" He reads out.
"Who sent you that?" LuHan asks.
The student looks down at her phone. "Joonmyeon? I think that's his name."
Baekhyun's head looks up sharply at the name. "Kim Joonmyeon?"
They nod. "Don't worry, you have us to support you. We'll make sure Chanyeol never comes near you again."
"Let's go." LuHan says, making Baekhyun walk away. The walk into the boys toilets and Baekhyun breaks down into tears. LuHan pulls him into a tight hug as Sehun walks in.
"Woah, you okay?" Sehun asks, noticing Baekhyun.
LuHan shakes his head. "Joonmyeon shared a picture of Baekhyun and Chanyeol making out at my party and then said that Chanyeol forced him."
Sehun's eyes open wide. "Are you fucking serious? Why would he do that?"
"To force me to choose between my reputation and the truth..." Baekhyun says, wiping his eyes. "He is best friends with my brother so no doubt my brother knows as well."
"But you were drunk, right? You can't help it." Sehun explains.
Baekhyun nods. "I was but I wanted to kiss him for ages..."
"We need to tell you something Baek," LuHan starts, "This bet was what me and Sehun decided to try and get you and him together. You both had a crush on each other. You were too scared to do anything so we knew Chanyeol would do something."
"But he said to me on Saturday before he took you to bed that he was calling off the bet as he didn't want you two to fall for each other during a stupid bet." Sehun carries on.
Baekhyun looks at the two of them in shock. "This day cannot get any worse..."
"What are you going to tell everyone though? Chanyeol never forced you." LuHan states. "You don't have to tell them that you're gay but say it was because you were drunk and you had no idea what you were doing. They'll believe you."
Sehun sighs. "You can't let Chanyeol suffer for this."
Baekhyun stands there for a few minutes, thinking over his options. Could he really just throw Chanyeol to the side, even after everything he has done? Or could he actually get the confidence to tell people the truth and accept the consequences?
He walks out of the bathroom without saying a word to LuHan or Sehun. Chanyeol starts walking down the hallway during his lunch to find them. Student stop and look at him as well as Baekhyun. LuHan and Sehun stand next to Baekhyun, awaiting his statement.
"That picture? I'm sure you guys want to know what happened." Baekhyun begins. Chanyeol looks at him confused before he notices the picture open on someone's phone. "The text is true. Chanyeol forced me to kiss him."
Chanyeol stares at him in shock and horror. Sehun and LuHan look over and see Chanyeol, frozen.
How could he do this...?
