We walk down the 860s hallway and up the stairs at the end of the hall. We end up walking up two flights of stairs before reaching the floor where the party is being held. You can practically hear the thumping of the music from the end if the hall. We stop in front of the room where there are people hanging around and outside it. Cam and I step in the doorway of the room and suddenly Cam is surrounded by a group of girls.

I look in his direction and see him roll his eyes and mouth 'Sorry' I shrug my shoulders and go into the main part of the room to get something to drink. They have a big cooler in the center with multiple types of drinks, most of them are alcoholic. I dig through the cold cooler before finding a can of Pepsi, that is probably the only one in there. I pop the tab and glance around the room. All of the guys from the band are surrounded by girls except for Jasper. He's standing in the corner of a room drinking from a red cup silently. I decide to go over and talk to him. I would have to at some point if I was going to make him sing again.

"Hey there, you look like you're having an awesome time," I smile as I approach him and his gaze shifts to me.

"Eh, parties aren't really my thing." He replies with a shrug of the shoulders.

"Same here." I reply.

"Tell me then Miss America, why are you here?" He asks, eyeing me. It was apparent that he didn't want to talk to me.

"First of all, don't call me that. Two, I think Cam assumed that I was going to the party so I went along with it."

"So you're a follower then?" He smirked at me and I rolled my eyes.

"I'm new," I corrected him. He shook his head, the corner of his mouth lifting.

"That's not an excuse," He is about to turn away from me but I say something that stops him.

"Then what about you?" I ask, he turns back to me raising an eyebrow. "You obviously don't want to be here, you just came along with your band. Doesn't that make you a follower to?" He thinks for a minute before leaning against the wall again, I've obviously gotten his attention back.

"I'm here because I don't drink," I eye his cup and he holds it out. "Apple juice," I laugh. I could have sworn he was drinking beer. "I'm the quote on quote designated driver," He takes a sip from his cup then points at me with it. "That's my purpose, what's yours?" It was almost as if he was asking me a deeper question, like he knew my secret and was waiting for me to tell him. I couldn't give him the satisfaction.

"I don't know yet," I turn my head back to the party and notice that all of the other guys had girls around them as they danced, Angel being the one with the most around him. I see Cam coming towards us, leaving his girls behind, some of them pouting. I laugh at the looks on their faces and I can feel their burning hot gazes on me, but I ignore them. I take a sip of my Pepsi that seemed like up until this moment, was freezing my hand.

"How's it going in lame central?" Cam asks swinging an arm around Jasper's shoulder. I smirk but Jasper just seems annoyed. "Hey man cheer up, those girls over there were asking about you. Why don't you go talk to them?" He nudges Jasper who shakes his head.

"I am perfectly fine," he answers plainly. "Ember and I were talking," Cam turns to me and raises an eyebrow.

"You got sourface to talk?" He seems impressed and I just shrug. "Well, I'm not leaving till you two start to dance and get a little tipsy," Cam smiles and grabs my hand dragging me out to the dance floor. Which is just the center of the suite where the couch probably was. "Do you like to dance?" Cam asks. I shake my head.

"No, not really," The song slows down and he pulls me closer as we move into a couples dance.

"God you're boring,"I laugh at him, then accidentally step on his foot. "Don't worry, I would hate dancing to if I was bad at it,"He smirks and I raise my eyebrows.

"I'll have you know that I am a pretty good dancer,"

"Oh wait, but let me guess, you won't dance for me will you?" He smirks shaking his head because he knows he's right.

Just to prove him wrong, I say, "I'll dance with you Cam, I just want you to know that I may hurt you. Don't say I didn't warn you."

"I don't mind, as long as you don't hurt me on purpose"

"I make no promises whatsoever." I say with a smirk. "You're the one that asked me to dance after all," Cam rolls his eyes and continues sweeping us across the dance floor.

I look at Cam and feel the awkward tension show up, when I realize how close we are. I move to turn my back to try and get out of slow dancing with a guy I just met, never less a famous popstar. He quickly grabs my hand and pulls me back into his chest, swaying us back and forth. I could feel his steady heartbeat against my cheek as time went on.

In the end, it wasn't that awkward slow dancing with Cam. But once the song ended, we instantly pulled apart and I went back to the sides of the party where Jasper was still sitting. I could tell he was very bored just watching. I got a sudden idea in my head and acted on it.

I walked over to Jasper and took his drink that was in his hand. I then took his hands and pulled him up from his seat and pulled him on to the dance floor much to his protests.

"Come on Jaz, just live a little. One dance won't hurt you." I exclaim. I pull him along until he has no choice but to stand in the middle of the dance floor.

"I don't like dancing," He mumbles as I hold his hands in mine and force him to move along to the beat. Like a mother dancing with her young child who was obviously not enjoying themselves.

"And I don't like that sad look on your face so let's compromise," I make him spin me then we go back to the ridiculous swaying we were doing before to the fast beat. "I won't make you dance if you stop looking like you just saw a puppy die," Jasper smirks.

"And if I did just see a puppy die?" He raised an eyebrow and I pursed my lips thinking about it.

"Then that is a tragic experience and I am sorry," I pause and place my hands on his shoulders. "But every moment you spend sad is wasting the precious and limited time you have to be happy," Jasper raises his eyebrows and nods as if he approves of my philosophy.

"I like that," He say smiling. I return his happiness and allow us to move off of the dancefloor.

"See? No more sad face, no more dancing," I pat his head then pick up my abandoned Pepsi to take a drink out of it. Jasper stops me giving me an alarmed look. "What?" I ask.

"You can't just walk away from your drink and then come drink from it," He takes my soda and tosses it in the trash. "This place is crawling with ecstasy," he shakes his head and looks at me as if I should have known better. But I wasn't much of a partier, I didn't know better. "Gosh, you could have ended up in an ally," He shakes his head chuckling. I cross my arms over my chest.

"Yes because me near death in an ally is so funny," I roll my eyes shaking my head, but Jasper's smirk remains.

"Jaz! Come do body shots!" A very drunk Alec stumbles over to us, almost tripping and falling onto the table. Jasper catches him and steadies him. "Izz awesome," He slurs.

"I think you've had enough body shots for one night," Jasper sits him down on the stool next to us. A whines loudly.

"I only did like five," He holds up two fingers and Jasper shakes his head.

"Yeah, sure you did," Jasper sighs. "This," He motions to A "Is why I'm here," I nod my head understanding. It was going to be a long night.
