It was dark here, the only source of light was a never ending fire. It was bright enough to light the cavern that I was laying in with Jake. We were trying to steal as much time as possible together because where we were it was not likely to get much alone time. We were snuggled under a couple of small blankets, he was asleep and I was too deep in thought to do the same. I eventually stood up from bed and wrapped one of the blankets around my body.
I walked over to the door and looked out across the landscape. The caverns of Hell was deep and filled with cries of the "unworthy". No one really classified as the unworthy because in my eyes I saw what everyone went through in life. I realized that my father had to choose people that He thought would my good for my mother to handle. For years He had tossed away the truly worthy and listened to no one not even His most trusted advisors.
I heard movement behind me, knowing Jake would wake up soon. I stayed where I was for a few minutes longer pondering the future. I turned around and felt a spike of fear go through someone's soul and heard a horn blare through the silence. Jake sat up in fear and looked at me, I heard shouts and the ringing of bells. Jake looked at me sadly and said that it was time, we were out of time. I cried and changed into the demon, it was time to fight till the end. The war was finally here, and it was time to end it.
