BEEP BEEP BEEEP BEEP.
My day starts alike all others, to the maddening sounds of my alarm clock beeping once again. I jump out of bed, onto the soft carpet of the floor. But of course, my left foot lands onto the corner of an open textbook known as "Hogwarts: A History". Wincing, I pull myself onto the bed, waiting for the numbing pain to secede. I knew as I fell asleep that I should've put away the books, but of course I ignorantly left them on the floor. With a sigh, I pack the rest of the left out books into my trunks and set off into the kitchen.
"Mornin' Thorn, good morning Dakota" I mumble as I enter the kitchen. Thorn jumps up into my arms as I reach to grab the dog food. "Hold on, hold on! I actually need my arms to feed you ok?" Softly, I place Thorn onto the ground and pour out the dog food into two bowls for Thorn and Dakota.
"Today's a big day. I'm finally going to Hogwarts! Of course you guys get to come as well". I place the two bowls onto the ground and watch with a smile as they rush towards their breakfast. With a small jump, I hop over to take a glance at the time. "10:20???? We're gonna be late!!!! Let's go, you guys hurry up and eat faster while I get my trunks."
Sprinting down the hall, I run into my room and swiftly grab my trunk and head towards the front door. "Come on!" I command to the dogs as I pat my hip to get their attention. I hold open the door to let them out, and we leave in a jog to King's Cross station.
At 11:27, we finally run into the train station, rushing to get to the platform in time. Without pausing, I send Dakota and Thorn through the gateway and run in after them. Just before I reach the wall, a stranger grabs ahold of my arm but loses their grip as I jump through the wall. Without giving it another thought, I jump onto the train and slide into an empty compartment near the back.
