I'm suddenly jolted awake, shivering at the realisation that Daniel is no longer holding me in his arms, and is no where's to be found in my room. Wrapping my arms around myself, I slow my quickened breathing and notice a vibrant pink sticky note on my desk, and I slowly reach for it.

'Krissy, I had to go back home due to Tony becoming suspicious. Come over tonight at 7.'

I immediately feel relief flood through my body, and I get out of bed walking to the bathroom. Washing my face and combing my hair, I go downstairs and enter the kitchen, grabbing an apple. "I heard you kicked my bestie out." I say, walking into the living room where Tony sat.

"The truth comes undone, forgive me your majesty." He stands up, and does a bow before grinning and standing up straight, flipping me off.

I laugh, setting my apple on the table before pouncing onto my brother, both of us tumbling backwards onto the couch.

"Victory!" I shout, and we both laugh before I get off him and grab my apple, taking a giant bite from it. "What time is it?" I ask, looking at Tony.

"3PM. You've been sleeping for ages. Daniel left around 2." He replies, changing the TV channel. I nod at his response, taking another bite from my apple and waddling to the stairs, and into my room. Closing the door behind me, I walk over to my desk, opening my window and sitting on my chair, setting my apple aside.

Taking out a pen and opening a notebook, I begin to write down my classes that I have tomorrow, and if there's any needed homework for them. Science first, then Math. Lunch break, then moving to PE, and for my last class I have a spare. Reaching for school notebook, I flip to where my notes in Science are. No homework to catch up on. I do the same with Math, and I have a couple equations that I still need to finish up.

Finishing the math problems, I close both the notebooks and look up to see Daniel, across from my window, watching me with a smile on his face. I jump slightly, not noticing how long he had been there. The reaction I gave him caused him to laugh, and wipe away a fake tear.

"That's my Krissy, always getting scared by everything." He joked, and I furrowed my eyebrows, crumpling an old piece of paper and throwing it at him, hitting his head and watching it bounce off, falling to the ground.

He smiled, blowing me a kiss and then closing his window, disappearing. I let out a small sigh, closing my window as well and making my way to my bed, flopping onto it and grabbing my phone, playing Candy Crush to pass the time.

"Kris, Daniel is here to get you." Tony shouts from downstairs and I'm jumping off my bed, throwing on a giant sweatshirt and changing my pajama pants to leggings, grabbing my phone that had fallen to the floor, running out of my bedroom and fly down the stairs.

Stopping at the door, I pant, attempting to catch my breath while getting my slippers on and greeting Daniel with a big smile. He laughs, before turning around and I follow, and we make our way to his house.

"I already ordered the pizza, got a bag of chips and a bottle of soda." He said as we entered his home. Taking my slippers off, I make my way to the living room. "Krissy it's been a while! How's your family doing love?" Daniel's grandmother, Abigale, asked while pulling me into a hug.

"Everyone is doing good, I've missed you Abi." I reply, returning her warm hug.

Daniel's mother passed away when he was really young, so he lives with his dad and grandmother.

She lets go of me, and Daniel smiles, leading me up the stairs and to his bedroom. A big smile forms on my face, and I jump onto his bed, curling up on it and snuggling his pillow. I hear Daniel grunt and I look up to see him crossing his arms.
