"...Jimin?"

I saw that his eyes widened as well. I immediately recognized him as the boy that sat outside with the rest of his friends. That's why he seemed so familiar...

As I looked at him, I started to notice the change of his features in the past years. His once beautiful dark chocolate brown hair was now a bright blonde colour. And his chubby features were gone as well.
I couldn't deny it though, he did turn into a handsome young man, but I wondered if he himself too had changed.

Ina walked to me and helped me stand up, while Jimin just stood up by himself.
I saw the same boys who were outside with Jimin standing behind him, and one of them asked: "Jimin, you know this girl?"
From the look in his eyes, I knew the answer. I saw Jimin hesitate for a moment and felt hope in me, but that feeling instantly sank in my chest when he answered the following with narrowed eyes.

"No, I don't. Let's get the hell out of here."

And just like that, Jimin coldly turned around to his friends and walked away.

I just stood there with my mouth wide open while gaping like a fish, wishing to- but having no words coming out.

"Manouk, who was th-"

"It doesn't matter. Let's go to our class before the second bell rings." I felt a slight tug at my chest, but ignored it. Why be down over something so small?

Ina shrugged her shoulders and we didn't say a single word to each other while walking to our class.

As the teacher was rambling about the lesson, I could see the concerned look on Ina's face. I quite already knew the reason behind that, so I decided to not ask much about it.
Next to Ina's expression, I could also see Keumi's pissed one. I snickered a little bit at that, but my smile immediately faltered from my face, having the sad feeling washed over me again.

"Now, I'd like to ask you all to make the exercises on page 64."

Everyone in the class groaned annoyed, including me. I decided to just make the work at home, and took out my sketchbook, drawing in it.

I looked outside the window, seeking for inspiration, until I saw a butterfly. Perfect.
It had beautiful wings that were blue, with a hint of shaded purple and white here and there, covered by black dots. Tracing its fragile wings, I noticed that one of them was slightly torn, and felt bad for the poor creature.
But, who knows? Maybe it is a message that no matter how hard you try to make things beautiful and perfect, it's never possible for it to be exactly that way.

The butterfly fluttered its wings rapidly after I theorized that, as if it was nodding that my thought was correct.

I heard the bell ring, and everyone stood up from their seats, ready to run as fast as they can to claim those precious lunch tables.
I sighed and looked at the butterfly one last time. "Bye-bye, little butterfly." I giggled lightly at the fact that what I just said rhymed. I saw the butterfly fly away after that, and I left the place as well.

Ina and I walked, and I stopped by the auditorium, while Ina looked at me with a raised eyebrow. I was surprised to see no one there.

Ina saw the expression on my face and slowly face palmed.

"Oh my g- of course no one's here. School's over."

"What? Already? Whoa." It felt really weird, normally it would feel like hours. But now time really had passed by quickly.
