This book is about Lily White she's 17 years old and lives in a small town called Rose Edge. Lily goes to Rose Edge High. She has two best friends Hayley and Katy. They go to the same school and they do everything together. Lily lives with her mom. Her dad left them three years ago and he didn't call or contact them in all those years. Her grandmother also lives in Rose Edge. Not to far from Lily's house. Lily's grandmother always told weird stories and she had a book, a special book. Lily only saw it once. The book was about magical stuff but Lily didn't believe anything about magical things at that time.
