Gaurdian Angel

Chapter 2

"Why were you gone for so long?" I ask while still hugging him. We must've been standing there for ages. But I didn't care, I was with my brother? Friend? I don't know what Jefferson would be to me, but I knew that he was mine.

"Me and Lynex had some issues to figure out." he says. His accent made me smile. I didn't think I would miss it that much.

"What issues?" I ask and loosen my grip on him, but he tightens his on me.

"Ones that me and Lynex figured out." he says and I knew he was smirking.

"Fine. Don't tell me. Meanie." I say and attempt to let go of him. But he doesn't let go of me.

"Jefferson, you know you can let go of me, right?" I say and half laugh.

"Yes, but I haven't seen you in awhile and want to hug you. You're mine." he says and picks me up into the air. I smile immeditaly when he calls me his. But it turns into a frown when I realize what he's doing. He loved to pick me up into the air and spin me around, I on the other hand hate it. It scares me when Im not touching the ground.

"Jefferson! Put me down!" I yell repeatdelly until he sets me down on the ground.

"You are no fun." He laughs and smiles at me.

"No I am fun but only when my feet are touching the ground. You know that." I say and smile at him. He sets me down on the ground. We are close to eachother but still close. If that makes sense.

"I know that, I also know that it's fun to watch you be scared." he says and smirks at me.

"Why is it fun?" I ask and he walks closer to me.

"Becasue when you're scared you hug me." he says and stares into my eyes.

"So what? Its just a hug." I say and hope that to him its more than a hug.

"To me, when I'm hugging you, Im holding my world. I know that you're safe in my arms. It makes me happy when you're with me. So when I scare you, you hug me, and then I have my world back into my arms, safe." he says and brings me closer to him. He's so close to me that I could kiss him.

"Oh. So it is more than just a hug?" I ask just to mess with him. He smiles at me.

"Yes dear, its more than just a hug." he says and we stare into eachother's eyes for what seems like forever. But forevr always comes to an end. I hear a knock on my door, which snaps the both of us out of our little trance.

"Come in." I yell and back away from Jefferson. He turns his head away from me and looks at the door.

The door opens, and in comes someone I've never seen before.

"Who are you?" I say and the tall, black-haired, brown eyed, man smiles at me.

"I am Lynex. The gaurdian angel chooser." he says and takes a few steps into my chamber. Him and Jefferson exchange a few glances with eachother before either of them spoke to me.

"Oh, you're Lynex. What brings you here?" Jefferson said through gritted teeth. Jefferson rarely got mad, but right now I could tell he was.

"Well, she is of age to be a gaurdian. I am the gaurdian chooser, so I am here to tell her who she will watch over." he says cooly, to cooly, and smiles at me. I shyly smile back to him,and get closer to Jefferson. Wait, I thought you had to be over 25 too be a garudian, not 18.

"Jefferson said I had to be over 25 to be one." I said and saw Jefferson tense.

"My dear, he himself isn't 25, he is only 20. You have to be over 18." he says and I hear Jefferson sigh. Why would he lie to me about this.

"Oh, well, who am I watching over? Is it a girl?" I ask. I always wanted to have someone to watch over. I hoped it as a girl, because guys are weird, or so I have heard.

"Jefferson can't be in here while I give you the information." he looked at Jefferson with a glare.

"Im not leaving." he said and put his weight on his right leg. Why was he acting like this?

"Yes you are I want to be a gaurdian, you are not getting in my way of it." I say and beign to oush him towards the door. He gives in and walks out of my room, but I knew he wasn't happy about it. Once

 I close, and lock the door, I walk over to Lynex. He had made himself comfy on my bed and was holding a thick file in his hands. His smile was ear to ear.

"Let's get started." he says, and it gives me the chills.
