james LOVES photography and wanted to always pursue a career in that direction. and, he did at first. though, when a hurricane hit nevis, he immediately started a rescue team. he helped people in need and started raising funds (and helping) with building houses. he learnt how to build quickly and picked up the skill to teach others.
least to say, it's hard to find the man now without a camera hanging around his neck or in his bag. he takes photos of everything, taking the term 'take a photo, it'll last longer' literally. so; he has random videos of his children and wife saved and stored away. he cries every time he sees a video of his wedding or of his children as toddlers. immediately after his wife had children, he was quick to roll in with his camera and film his own reaction along with the rest of the family's.

along with this particular set of skills, james had the dream we all had as a child- to sing. his love for singing grew more into voice acting and he had been a voice actor for some silly cartoon his friends planned on making. but, he easily grew out of that dream. nonetheless, seeing he would often sneak into singing classes, he does sing slightly well and manages to lull his children to sleep with a lullaby. but, he would much rather stay as a carpenter at this point. he truly does enjoy fixing things.

he's extremely close to all three of his kids and they're pretty open to him about almost everything. he lets mary practice her makeup on him rather than her mother and always loves the result. he's very family-oriented and never leaves them for more than a month or two. he wants to be there for his children and wife- he's very loyal, never wanting to follow in his father's footsteps and abandoning them. he's clingy and very protective over them all. and, well, despite his usual friendly attitude, he'll defend his family's name- which would often lead to fighting.
it's obvious he plays favorites with children, but he can't help himself. mary is his favorite just because she's his only daughter. hell, since she's the youngest and he's still very excitable over her birth, he usually only mentions her. he strives for her to have the best life (along with his two boys,) and absolutely hates any boy that comes near her.
