I would like to start off for apologizing deeply for putting this story on hold. I know that there are other, possibly better fanfictions that you were most likely reading, but still, I feel the need to put out chapters constantly, since you all seem to be enjoying my fanfiction so much. I didn't put this book on hold for any important reason in particular, other than the fact that I just... needed a break from writing. Here I am, though, continuing this fanfiction, hoping to finish it before too long.

I sound way too serious, don't I.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this chapter! I'll be putting out the 9th chapter really soon as an apology for the long break that I took from writing this, so keep an eye out for that!

Marinette proudly gazed upon her newest work, a dress which she had both designed and sewn with her own hands. It was a semi-long dress, themed white and red with hints of pearl-colored lace on the ends.

"You did a great job on that dress, Marinette! I can really see you becoming a fashion designer one day!" Tikki complimented with a giggle, as Marinette continued to admire her work.

"Thank you, Tikki! I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. I wasn't expecting it to look quite this good," Marinette admitted. "Maybe I can wear it to a school dance someday."

Saying that was somewhat or a mistake, as Marinette began daydreaming about dancing with Adrien. They'd waltz to a slow song, and then dance to a quick one, and laugh all night long. It would be wonderful...

"Marinette? Helloooo?" Tikki asked, waving a nub in front of Marinette's face. "Snap out of it!"

"Sorry, Tikki!" Marinette apologized. "I'll go ahead and start getting ready for school."

Marinette walked alongside Alya towards the school, her blue braids bouncing behind her.

"Girl, why did you take so long? I was waiting here for, what, thirty minutes? Come on!" Alya complained.

"Sorry, Alya! I was braiding my hair. I haven't done that in ages, so I'm kind of out of practice," the bluenette apologized with a giggle.

"Whatever. Anyways, your hair looks nice."

The girls arrived in class just barely on time. They slid into their seats, and began taking out the essentials (books, note paper, pens, pencils, etc.) from their backpacks. Mme. Bustier hadn't arrived yet, so the class was abuzz with chatter as they waited for their teacher to arrive.

Marinette had been practicing drawing realistic hair with pencil, so she took out a notecard (she liked drawing on the backs of those, because it is a smaller space to draw in) and an art pencil. She had just started drawing the head shape when her teacher arrived. Everyone was still talking, so she clapped shortly twice. The class then settled down, listening to what their teacher had to say.

"As you all know, one of our after-school activities is a tennis class, and many of you are in it. A tennis tournament is going to take place in exactly three months from today." There were gasps and squeals of excitement from all around the classroom.
