Hi!! This chapter is a kind of "epilogue" leading to the main story, as will most of the first couple of chapters. If the titles have the "♡" symbol, then it is an "epilogue" chapter. Okay? Alright, bye my kittens!!!
Alex's P.O.V.
I sat in the waiting room, Eliza at my side. She rubbed circles on my back as she answered questions asked by police officers. Of course, she can't answer most of them... she wasn't there when it happened... I felt my heart racing.
Oh God , please stay alive. Please, John. Don't leave me. Everyone always leaves, not you too...
Eliza tapped my shoulder, catching my attention. "Alexander." she spoke softly," The police want to ask you a few questions about what happened, okay?" I simply nodded in responce. I looked up and saw two police officers. One was holding a pen and paper, the other just sitting there. "Mr. Hamilton." started one. "Yes?" "Would it be alright if we questioned you about the accident?" I slowly nodded. I couldn't move too quickly, it would hurt my neck and back. "Would you like to go somewhere more private, Mr. Hamilton?" Questioned the one with pen and paper. His name tag read "Charles Lee" while the other's read "Samuel Seabury". I only nodded, slowly rising from my seat. My legs hurt a little bit as we walked to the side of the building, I had been sitting in that waiting room since I got released from the hospital; awaiting for John to wake up... to come back to me. "Sir?" Spoke Charles," Would you like to tell us exactly what happened?" I nodded before taking in a deep, shaky breath.

"Aleeex" sighed John as I dragged him down the sidewalk. He had a blindfold over his eyes, since it was his birthday and I was going to surprise him. Where were we going? The zoo! They had opened up a new exhibit that I knew John would surely love... We arrived to the zoo entrance and John whined again. "Alex, it smells like shit. Are we visiting Burr or Jefferson?" I couldn't help but laugh at this. I placed a light kiss on his freckled cheek and whispered, "John, baby, stop whining. No, we aren't visiting either one of them today. Now stay calm, we're almost there." He sighed dramatically, mumbling a "fine" underneath his breath. God I love this man. I guided him to the aquatic area and stood him in front of the turtle exhibit. It had rows and rows of turtles in tanks. It also had a small pool where you could reach in and touch the creatures. Next to it, there was a lady holding a turtle whilst teaching some children about the certain reptile. Children... I'd love to start a family with Laurens. "Alex, honey, are we there yet? It smells salty in here." He whined , sticking out his tounge in disgust . I walked infront of him and lightly licked his tounge, earning a giggle from my boyfriend and sounds of disapproval from a nearby lady. I kissed John's nose lightly as I removed his blindfold, revealing his olive green eyes. His eyes slowly opened. I was taken aback by his beauty. Absolutely breathtaking. Suddenly, his eyes lit up as he recognized his surroundings. He squealed and jumped up and down like a child on Christmas, earning worried glares from children and their parents. I loved when he got like this. As he jumped , his hair bounced along his back. He suddenly pulled me into a warm hug. "Thank you, Lexi. Thanks so much." He whispered in my ear. I pulled away from the hug. "You're welcome." I responded. I then "booped" his nose while commenting , "and what did I say about calling me Lexi?" He just smiled and pulled me into a long and passionate kiss. I , reluctantly broke the kiss, knowing that it would get heated and that we were in a public place. He grabbed my hand and dragged me around the exhibit. We laughed and played throughout the day. It was nice. John had gotten sad when I had told him that we couldn't take the turtles home. To cheer him up, I bought us some ice cream and we walked to the parking lot to my car. That's when everything went wrong...
