How do you define love? How does anyone know they're in love? I don't know about you, but for me, love was when I met him. Love started the moment I laid my eyes on him and I knew the second our eyes met, I was a goner.
Too bad he wasn't mine to keep.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
You see, love doesn't always make it easy. You have to work really hard, you have to sacrifice, and you need to have hope. Hoping can lead to disappointments, and I guess that's why they say love hurts.
One might say that love is never enough to keep someone, but it can become the reason why we fight, why we hold on.
You don't give up that easily on someone you love. Loving someone doesn't mean you have to be together right now, but when the time comes that you are both ready for the relationship, you really have to fight for that relationship to stay. Love is messy, but it's what makes us complete. I guess that was the reason why I lost him the first time. I didn't fight for him enough.
I did get a second chance at love, though. And now, we are together, in this lifetime.
This is the story of how I fell in love for the first time in my life, and how hard it was to endure the pain it caused me. But looking back now, every single tear that dropped, every sad song I listened to, every pain I had to go through, was all worth it.
This story, is our story.
