Out of all ways this could've gone, Bree did not expect to be tied up against a tree while receiving a lecture from Peter Pan. After he finished lecturing Regina, he turned towards Bree.

'Or maybe you're the one with the most regrets, all the damage you and your family have done... Did you recall I called the lot of you mothers? That was more of a slip up, I apologise. You may have raised a boy, but whether you did a good job... That's debatable...'

The words cut through Bree like one of Niklaus's daggers, because somewhere deep down... She debated it too. She had raised Marcel as best as she could, but she and her brother weren't the best people to look up too.

Tears welled up in her eyes and she bit her lip trying to stop the scream she wanted to unleash. If she revealed herself now, all her hard work would've been for nothing. Making friends and getting them to trust her.

So in the end she whispered, 'I don't think you're the one to judge.'

Pan smiled at the wit of the girl, 'No I do not think so either. You didn't have the best examples after all, your parents... I don't think there are worse to be found. But your mistakes are your own of course, even though you and your siblings keep blaming them.'

Bree glared at him, 'I've been to hell and back, but if I had not learned to fight to the anguish. I would not have found this voice, my choices made me who I am. And I regret nothing.'

As Pan moved to step closer, Regina ripped out his heart. He fell to the ground and Bree collected the mini Pandorica.

Regina smiled, 'Now, lets go safe Henry.'

***

And they did, they saved Henry. They got Gold out of Pandora's box, they used Pans shadow to fly away. Now they were just waiting until they reached the docks of Storybrooke.

Bree just looked at the waves, thinking about Pan. It was a good thing he was dead, he knew her secret and if he'd reveal it to the others... She would have to leave. Normally she'd have nothing to fear from the teenage boy, but he held the power to reveal her darkest secret. Which meant he had power over her.

Sadly she'd have to destroy the mini Pandorica, or at least hand it over to Nik. Objects that could put down an Original were very rare, but because of all their enemies... they'd be sold out if it was an item you could find in a store. They'd probably be sold out before they're in the shops, people would make pre-orders. If this box ended up in the wrong hands, they would be screwed.

Snow has seen the girl staring at the waves and she almost looked a little lost. So she went over to her and touched her shoulder.

Bree turned around in surprise to see the most innocent woman of all times. Or maybe she had confused her with the princess that sang with the animals and made them clean up her house. Which would be pretty useful, to Bree. Especially after Niklaus had fought with Elijah about something completely pointless.

'Are you alright?' Snow asked her.

Bree's eyes widened as she had not been prepared to that question, 'Not sure... I guess.'

'After Pan... well you know... He lectured me about being a bad mother as well. I suppose he was a bit right, but I didn't have a choice. This way she'd at least have a chance of survival,' Snow whispered.

Bree looked at her with sympathy, she couldn't imagine how hard it must've been to give away your own child. Especially when you never wanted to do so. When you miss their first time talking, their first time walking, their first everything. Then you find your child and she isn't able to attach herself to you. Because you're just a stranger to her.

'Do you have a daughter?' Snow finally asked.

Bree shook her head, 'No... a son.'

Snow smiled sheepishly, 'What was he like, growing up?'

Bree looked at her hands as she thought about Marcel, 'He was brave and a confident little boy. He was also a little gentleman, I suppose he learned that from his uncle. He chased love like his aunt and cared about helping others like me.'

It felt weird calling Rebekah his aunt, as they had had a relationship. But her family was a bit complicated and she didn't feel the need to explain it. Nor could she without saying they were immortal beings.

'He sounds wonderful,' Snow told her.

Bree smiled, but saddened at the same time. He was wonderful indeed, but how she wished he'd informed her he was still alive. She found out a year ago, Niklaus had called her with the news while she was in Asia. She had returned to New Orleans immediately. Niklaus and Marcel weren't acting like father and son as they both held grudges against each other. Luckily Bree had been able to talk the both of them out of it.

Finally they reached the docks and lots of locals were waiting for them. Bree managed to recognise Belle, Ruby and Leroy. Everyone cheered as she and the others set foot on land, Bree however just went towards Ruby.

'I missed you, adventure seeker,' Ruby told her.

Bree laughed, 'I missed you too, as much as I like the others... They're not my best friend.'

'I am your best friend!? You're my best friend too!'

'Yeah... I thought that was how it worked.'

They walked to Granny's motel together, everyone else went to the diner. But the both of them didn't feel like going, so they painted each others nails in Bree's room. Oblivious to everything else what was going on in town.

'So... anyone you like?' Ruby asked Bree, winking.

Bree frowned, she liked almost everyone in this town. They were kind, not welcoming at first. But in the end they were really nice.'Yes, everyone is very kind here.'

Ruby giggled, 'No silly, I mean... Is there anyone you like more than you're supposed too?'

Bree flushed a bright red, 'No... Yes... I don't know.'

Ruby wiggles her eyebrows, 'Who is it?'

Bree looked down at her hands, 'Killian...'

'Who is Killian?'

'Hook... Captain Hook.'

A wicked smile appeared on Ruby's face, 'Ah... you're a sucker for the bad boys... Don't worry, the good girl always gets the bad boy.'

Bree nodded, but the smile on her face was fake. It might be true, but she wasn't the good girl. She never had been.

'What's wrong?' Ruby asked Bree, the fake smile calling her attention.

'What if... what if I'm not the good girl?' Bree asked her.

Ruby frowned, not getting what Bree was insinuating. However she told the girl anyway, 'I don't think it matters to him... I think he loves you either way.'

I hope you are enjoying this chapter, we're coming closer to Bree's big reveal.
