You walk into the room
All you see is blue
The room makes you feel sad, depressed even
You walk through the room looking at the blue painted walls
You look around and a soft blue light fills the room making you even sadder yet you continue to explore
You see a table, a blue table like the rest of the room
On that table lies a blue glass dish, a blue vase rests upon that glass dish
The vase is filled with water that gives you the illusion of it being, yet again, blue
You want out, you desperately want to see the colors of the world once more
You turn to leave but then something catches your eye
You look at the vase and see a single yellow flower
Bright, delicate, and wonderful
You wonder how you missed it before
You get lost in it's beauty
It's soft, fragile looking petals
It's soft color and it almost feels that it's pulling you in
You start to think
You remember how small and insignificant flowers once were to you
Then you think about your life
How you feel that your just blending into the background
Then it hits you
That little flower has inspired you
You tell yourself that no matter how small and insignificant that flower may be to other people it inspired you to lead a new perspective in life
Not to blend in
Not to just follow what's around you
To be your own person
To be unique
To be different
All of this by just not being blue
By not blending in with all the other objects surrounding it
But by showing the true colors it was born with
