Tedros noticed a note at the botton of his schedule.

*Private lesson. No other student knows. Only faculty.

Tedros felt his mouth twist into a frown. Why did he need a private classes? It wasn't like he needed it not another reason to stand out again, all Tedros wanted was to get away from here. He stood up. Only one way to find out. Attending classes.

Tedros arrived to his first class. He was early to arrive since it was about one hour before breakfast was over. Nobody would see him sneaking off to an area restricted from all other students.

He stared up at the tall bushes, each designed to depict the scenes of King Arthur. The only reason Tedros knew this was from how many time he had read the story. When he was little and lived in the orphanage, Tedros loved listening to the maid read to him. He always picked king Arthur's fairytale and would pretend that he was Arthur. The maid that worked there was the only person who knew about his secret. She kept it a secret even when she died from an illness after being sick for two weeks straight.

The young boy wondered around the tall bushes when a person appeared from nowhere. He was dressed in purple robes and a purple hat with white stars. Tedros stared at the stranger in awe and shock.

The man looked at Tedros "Well hello, you must be the student I'm teaching," he greeted.

Tedros ducked his eyes as soon as the man said that. Wonder what gave him away, the slit eyes or the fact he was the only other person up here? The boy looked at his school issued boots "Yes, I'm Tedros of Wood Beyond," he replied softly.

The man looked at Tedros "Of Woods Beyond? I was told you were the Prince of Camelot," he replied.

Tedros shifted "I'm not even from Camelot, I have l- l- lived in Gavaldon all my life," he counter.

The man nodded "Alright, well Tedros of Woods Beyond do you know who I am?" He asked.

Tedros nodded "You're Merlin, the Wizard who helped train King Arthur when he was a boy," he replied. Only one person wore a hat like that and it was how he recongized the older man.

Merlin smiled "Well my legacy still precedes me," he said jokingly.

Tedros looked up "Why are we here? Students aren't allowed up here," he asked.

Merlin clapped his hands "I am going to teach you on how to control your curse," he said. Tedros blinked a few times. The thought settled in and he screeched.

Merlin watched Tedros pace around a tall bush of Arthur holding up Excalibur. The older man was worried the boy would pace a perfect circle around it. Tedros was mumbling to himself "No, no, no, no. I am not g- g- going to even get anywhere close to messing with what's wrong with me," he said.

Merlin stared as the boy looked arou d for the 100th time "We won't be doing anything dangerous Tedros, it'll help keep you in control and keep it down," he said.

Tedros looked over to Merlin "Keep what in control? I barely even shift into that thing," he knew that was wrong. His curse was getting more and more out of control since he had came here against his will.

Merlin knew that apparently "Tedros, where you're from, the magic is weak there so you have control over the curse but here the magic is strong and fueling that change. Have you noticed you have more of your cursed traits coming out?" He explained.

Tedros fell silently, yes he did. Each time he panicked or became scared then something would manifest and normally that never happened, he could control it easier in Gavaldon but now he had very little control left. Tedros let out a small sigh "What do I need to do to control it?" He asked.

Merlin smiled slightly "Class is in session."
