Riley has never really been much of a girly girl but that has never really been much of a problem for her as she's always fitted in well with the guys. Going to the skate park after school with Louis to do her favorite thing ever, going to play football with Niall and Harry even going to play the occasional bit of basketball with Liam. This was just the norm for Riley but when she turned 13 she started getting sly comments from the other girls, but she chose to ignore them but by the time she was 14 they were a lot worse some of the girls physically attacked her, when she chose to confide in Liam he told her how he got the bullies of off his back, she tried going to boxing with Liam and she did get a few of the girls of her back but nothing seemed to work, by the time she was 16 thee bullying was completely put of control and there was nothing she could think to stop them, from the sly remarks and the girls that would even go far enough to beat her up.

PRESENT DAY

I groaned and got out of bed and went straight to the shower to try and wash the sleep out of her tired eyes she hoped and prayed they would leave her alone today.

*FLASHBACK*

"Get here you ugly mother fucker!!!!" the meanest of the bullies shouted at me "there's no point trying to run we know where you live you ugly twat!!" I slowed down until the face of my worst tormentor Halima was in front of mine "so here we are bitch, what'll it be easy way or the hard way?" I knew what this was if I took more than 20 seconds to decide both options would miraculously disappear so I said in a strained voice "easy way". " well your in luck bitch" Halima sneered "cause that's what I was hoping you'd say" I never say the punch coming or the kick that came directly after that I cried put as I fell to the floor, I could already feel the bruises forming

*END OF FLASHBACK*

I got out of the shower and examined yesterdays black and blue artwork that was spread across my ribs and face. well at least they weren't as bad as last time I thought while grabbing my leggings and hopping into them, after I was fully dressed I pulled my hair into a pony tail and started to cover up all of my bruises with foundation, when i was about to cover the last of y bruises i got a text from Niall saying that he was outside waiting for me , i sighed and then covered up the last bruise, i texted him back saying be there in 1 min and I grabbed my bag and ran downstairs grabbed an apple from the kitchen and shouted a goodbye to mum and dad who we're probably still in bed.

I ran outside and spotted Niall's car parked in front of my dads I ran to it and opened the door and hopped in grateful that I didn't have to walk to school , knowing that if I did I would probably end up getting beat up again "hello earth to Riley anyone there??" Niall said trying to get my attention "sorry Nialler I was just daydreming " I said with an apologetic expression " typical Riley"Niall said and I didn't even have to look at him to know he was smiling.

when we got to school, Niall parked in his usual spot an we both jumped out. " let's go find the others" he said while his eyes scanned the car park for any sign of the boys.

As they walked into school Niall talked about his weekend "well, my weekend was AMAZING, first saterday, went to nandos, and then for the rest of the weekend in just constantly played football with Greg and Harry but mostly Greg". I laughed and said " just another typical weekend in the life of Niall ". I said with a smirk " hey I don't always do that on the weekend" he said glaring at me with a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. " so what did you do then Riley poo?" Niall said clearly amused as he'd used my old old nickname the one i absolutely hated " okay first things first leprechaun" i said cheekily "I went to the skatepark on saterday with Louis and on Sunday I played basketball with Liam so nothing special, on my agenda" I said smirking Niall smirked back at me.

when we got to class we went straight to our seats which were conveniently right next to one another.

we ever talked during class due to our teacher being a complete arse. when they got out of class I said a quick goodbye to Niall before heading straight to my next lesson which was maths one of my best subjects alongside art, although I couldn't understand why I absolutely despised maths.

when the lesson was over I groaned and packed up my things and started walking towards the mess hall to get lunch, as usual Niall was at the front of the line, damn that boy loves his food I thought trying to hold back a laugh. By the time I got to our table all the boys were already there, but that wasn't what made my breathe hitch in my throat, sitting between Louis and Liam was the most beautiful human being I had ever seen.

He had chocolate brown eyes and a luscious raven quiff, his skin was a beautiful tan colour and his eyelashes were so long they actually brushed his cheeks every time he blinked, I was so absorbed in staring at him I never noticed my name being called "hello earth to Riley, anybody there helloooo" Harry was calling my name from across the table "oh sorry I was erm,.......just well daydreaming" I said blushing furiously, I sat down still blushing a bright shade of pink." sooo, this is Zayn" Louis said smiling awkwardly I had no doubt that they were already aware of my infatuation with Zayn the beautiful human being sitting across from me. " so you're Riley right?" Zayn said in the most amazing accent I had ever heard...
