Chapter 2

"Hey where's mads?" Crap! I completely forgot about earlier!
"We need to go find her!"
"Ughhh Ari I hate walking"
If there's one thing about Jess it's that she ALWAYS gets what she wants. By that time Max, had walked up beside us. So you know what Jess was gonna do. She literally made him carry her. But that's just Jess. The bell rang but I could tell Jess didn't care, she never does. We found Madi sitting the the classroom all shy and quiet like always. Max put Jess down but continue to walk up to Madi with us. I really couldn't stand him but I knew Jess liked him even if she wouldn't admit it. We all knew he was head over heels for her though. Well all of us except Jess.

"Hey mads."

"H-Hey."She was being extra quite but I figured it was cause of earlier so I just left her alone. Of course Jess noticed right away because whenever Madi was upset she studied like crazy! And she had her history book out. Not that studying is weird when you have a test or something, but it's the first day of school. And I checked her block schedule and she doesn't have history till Wednesday.

" hey what's going on with Madi?" Jess whispered and walked to the back to sit down. We had two mare minutes till the second bell so Jess satin top the desk as I explained what happened this morning.

"Oh. My. God. DO YOU LIKE JAMES!"

"JESS!"

"Sorry!"

"But no I don't like him." Well sorta. I like he's brother, but not like that. Chase was my best friend for a long time. But then he left and I haven't seen him since. But boy is he gonna be surprised once he sees me! When he left we were in 7th grade. But I've changed a lot! So in 7th grade I had short hair, glasses, braces,& was just a lil chubby. Not that any of those were bad, but I definitely prefer my look now. I have long hair that went reached down to the top of my butt, lost the braces, got contacts,& lost some weight. And other things happened. But chase never cared how I looked, he was kinda chunky himself. I haven't talked to him in years! I'm really excited!

"Ok then why did you mention them?"

"Well chase is coming back, and I want him to see the new me!"

"Pft why does it matter! He never judged you before!"

"I know but I was just really excited to see him."

"What about me." Great of all people.

"Trust me I didn't miss you one bit James."

"ouch" He tried his best to be affended.

"Why would she miss you when I'm here?"

"CHASE!" I ran up and jumped into his arms and squeezed him tight.

"I missed you too cupcake."

"Did I miss something here?"James never knew that me and chase were best friends. Mostly because he an chase weren't close.

"Oh I forgot you were here."

"Gee thanks."

"In her defense I'm here."

"Seriously since when did you become all buddy buddy?"by this point Jess got bored and decided to ditch class.

"Well considering you didn't even know i existed I wouldn't have expected you to know that me and chase were best friends."

"I did know you existed!"

"Oh really. Then what's her name!"

No response. He doesn't even know who I am!

"If you didn't know who I was then why did you walk up to me?"

I did know who she was. Well not at first but I put two an two together once saw her an chase together. He hasn't stopped talking about her ever since he found out we were moving back! But she changed a lot! You can blame me for not knowing her.
"Come on chase I'm not that dumb! You haven't shut up about her since we found out we were moving.''
