Jackson's POV
I get us both up once night falls, since I needed a drink. We go to a nearby forest. I tell him that
animals can work the same as humans, as I drain a squirrel. I toss the carcass. I can tell this isn't
enough for Mark, though. We find another degenerate, Someone no one will miss, and he drank
deeply. I fear for him, since he is a fledgeling. But whatever happens, I'll protect him. I managed
to swing him a coffin, and he helped heave it into the house. We both instantly fell asleep.
Mark's POV
I am starting to get used to our usual routine. It seems as though Jackson scarcely will drink
from humans now that i'm around. He's going more for small game, which confuses me. He is
starting to look more and more desperate for a human to take in. I brought him a victim, and he
turned it down. I had to take her, since she would have told of our nature. I became furious with
him. "You can't live on bloodwine and rats forever! You know this!" I screamed. "It's different
now you're around. I can't explain it." I shook my head and stormed away from him. I don't know
why i'm so different than any other vampire. I seem to keep repeating that in my head, like a
mantia. He isn't giving me any straight answers. I shut up in my coffin early, Because I can't deal
with him right now
