He's Gone

Y/n Ann l/n was in history class when her brother's military officers knocked on the door. The teacher said "may I help you?" and Josh (y/n's brother's friend) said "I'm here miss l/n." The teacher said "Plum, pack your stuff up and go ahead dear." Y/n's brother's name was Matthew l/n and his friends came to pick her up. She got her stuff and went with them to her locker to get her stuff. Carlisle and Esme Cullen were walking down the hall when they heard them talking. Josh said "I'm sorry y/n, but Matthew lost" and she shook her head saying "no no no he can't be. He promised me he would come back." Y/n is a vampire and she had tears running down her face. Y/n hugged Josh and Mike (Matthew's other friend) said "I'm sorry y/n." Josh gave y/n Matthew's military jacket and hat. She cried and Mike said "you ready to go" and she said "did he find great great grandpa's journal." Josh handed her the journal and saw a note saying:

Dear Plum,
I found great great grandpa Whitlock's journal from when he was in the civil war. I've kept half of my promise to you and it breaks my heart. I want to give you this personally. Ever since mom and dad died in war, I promised them I would protect you. When you get to uncle Charlie's ask for and black box and satchel. Always remember, I love you sis and I will look over you. Remember when you were younger you had a magic invisible friend named Biden. I will be replacing him until you die. I want you to promise me,little sister. That you will not join the military and to take care of yourself. Uncle Charlie will be your guardian until either Josh or Mike are home.

She started crying again and dropped to her knees making Josh pick her up and Mike grab her stuff. They walked to the office and told the lady "Plum will not return for a while because Matthew lost." The lady nodded and typed away at the computer.The two men walked towards the Army truck and got in. Josh held y/n as she cried her self to sleep and told the general where to go. They arrived at Charlie Swan's house and knocked on the door. When Charlie opened the door he gasped and ushered them in. He said "Matthew lost, didn't he?" and Josh nodded. Charlie said "well, Isabella will be here in two years. Why don't I show you her room." he showed them to y/n's room and Mike placed her stuff down and Josh laid down on the bed with y/n's clutching on to his jacket. Josh said "Matthew was a good person"and Mike nodded. A few hours later Charlie came up with a baby bottle full of animal blood (Charlie knows about vampires and werewolves but Bella doesn't). Josh said "thanks Charlie" and Charlie left making Josh say "y/n baby wake up." She woke up and yawned making Josh say "here some food." Josh placed the nipple of the bottle in her mouth and she started eating. When she finished the bottle, Josh gave the bottle to Mike to take down to Charlie. Josh said "get some rest baby" and she nodded and laid her head on Josh's chest. In the morning, y/n woke up on Josh's chest and got up. Josh and Mike woke up a few minutes later and went downstairs with y/n. Mike said "y/n we have to go after breakfast okay" and she nodded. Charlie saw y/n and handed her a baby bottle of blood.
