The Uber Driver {Nick Mara}

I checked my phone seeing it was near three am.

"Nick, I know you're an uber driver and you could possibly get fired for this, but can we go to Jack in the box or Chic-fil-a? I'm starving," I asked staring at the cute boy.

"I better be getting a really good tip," he replied laughing.

"What about a kiss?" I asked leaning my head on my elbow which was placed in between the seats.

"After your little vomiting incident? No thanks babe," he said forcing me to laugh. We continued driving in a comfortable silence until Nick cleared his throat.

"If you don't mind me asking, why are you ubering so far? That's a lot of money princess," he spoke not realizing the nickname he gave me. I actually really liked the nickname. (lol nick-name hahaha I'm hilarious)

"Well darl, I was celebrating my friend's birthday but they ditched me at the club. I have a no idea where they went. All I know is that I was pissed and need new friends," I spoke angrily.

"I could be your friend," Nick spoke quietly but loud enough for me to hear.

"Thanks for the offer, but you're my uber driver. I'll probably never see you again," his face frowned up.

"But that's the thing. I want to see you again. Do you think regular Uber drivers take their customers to Chic-fil-a and give them a fresh pair of clothes when they throw up?" he asked. A silence encapsulated us. "Didn't think so." I mentally face-palmed myself at how crazy and rude I sounded.

"Nick, I'm sorry," I said facing the opposite way.

"You obviously don't feel the same way," he spoke in an irritated tone.

"I was oblivious to how I was feeling. I've never opened up to anyone as fast as I've opened up to you. Our conversations were genuine. Our laughs shared were real. The only reason I said what I said was because I thought we couldn't have something. Screw that. I want that," I grabbed onto his free hand and he squeezed mine.

"So I'm not just an uber driver," he smirked.

"No, you still are," I laughed and he joined in with me.
