Chapter 1

Hello. My name is Jacob Morsecode, and I'm a General of the Unified Provinces Army. After World War four, the world was practically all destroyed. North Korea's failed nuclear launch attempt left east Asia devastated. The populations of South and North Korea were instantly vaporized, while Japan and China suffered tremendous casualties. Mexico's greatest secret, it's development of hyper-atomic bombs, went public, and soon after, it launched attacks on Germany, Canada, and Bolivia. These targets were chosen in order to create the most casualties possible. After the fallout, which lasted decades, only a select few countries had any working government left at all. They decided to put aside their differences, and become one huge country, the Unified Provinces Of Earth. These days, life is actually pretty decent. One unified country is way better than people thought. We have a universal basic income, so the poverty rate is extremely low, and many scientific advances have cured humanity's greatest diseases. Supreme president Musk (Every province has a president, and each president gets a vote for "Supreme president") led us into the space age, and we now have a few provinces on the moon and even one on Mars.

As a general in the UPA, it is my duty to protect my province, which happens to be former Canada. (Officially called Adania) I enjoy protecting it, although I'm not allowed to leave my post. President Letourneau let me build my own add-on to my watchtower though, as we are pretty close friends. My men are rarely needed in battle, only occasionally to prevent rebellion. Speaking of rebellion, I have heard whisperings of a new rebellion in Morric (Former United States of America) I must go inform my superior, Morsecode out.
