Chapter 2

Today's the day, the day I start working. Wow I can't believe I'll be working now, earning my own money and actually having big responsibilities. Yes I'm scared, yet I'm so excited. A few days ago, Sam told me about this boy named Kadar, what she said is playing through my mind continuously, I don't know why, the thought of a bad boy thrills me yet scares me, I feel like he won't be on my good books but I kinda like it that way. "Ready to leave baby sis?" Says Sam as she walks into my room. " Yes, yes, I'm just nervous" I softly say back. "I'm taking you there and I'm going to introduce you and then I'll leave for work" "okay yeah that's fine."

"We're here Marissa, follow me" says Sam excitedly. "Slow down I'm so shook!" I say through laughter. As we walk in, I'm stopped by the Boss, he's very tall and smart looking, very intimidating and also has very dark features around the eye area. "Hi, I'm Marissa, nice to meet you, finally." I say gently. "Hey Marissa, so good to see you too, why don't you go in and meet the rest of the staff, I'll just have a quick chat with your sister, how does that sound?" He says with a very still voice. As I walk in, I'm instantly crushed with a bear hug from one of the girls there, her names Alfi, she seems so sweet and kindhearted, the type of people that put others before themselves, she kinda reminds me of myself. "Hey, oh god you're so beautiful! I'm Alfi but call me Alfina, that's my nickname here" she expresses so excitedly. " Hey, I'm Marissa, so nice to meet you and thanks, you're gorgeous!" I say and wink at her. I'm then greeted with the Manager, her names Mary, she hugs me and introduces herself sweetly to me, she looks like the type of person you could pour your heart out too and you won't get judged by it, I instantly felt connected to her. When she smiles, two deep dimples form, empathising her beauty even more. I then see him, I think it's him, Kadar, the one my sister was talking about, I walk past him and reach out my hand to shake his, "hey I'm Marissa, you must be Kadar, right?" He turns to my direction and looks down at me like I'm an animal, he takes my hand and squeezes it and says roughly, "yeah that's right." He then turns and serves the next customer, I walk off kinda annoyed because he surely must be at least nice to the new girl, Sam was right, he definitely looks like a bad boy and a heartbreaker. His hair is a dark brown colour and it lays on his forehead,nearly covering his hazel brown eyes, his eyelashes are very dark and long, he has these cheekbones that anyone would die for. His lips, his lips were a mix of a light and dark pink, looking very kissable, I imagined how it would feel to kiss such lips. I felt so innocent to be around him, he plays such a rough character but I'm determined to see what lies underneath, everyone has a story and I'm so curious to hear his. "Alright Marissa, I'm going to work, be good and if you need anything, just ask your new staff members, oh god, I'm so proud of you!" Sam says. " Yeah, all thanks to you, alright I'll see you at home babe" I say then kiss her cheek. When I turn around, I find Kadar staring intensely at my body, when I catch him he smiles, I smile back and walk towards Alfi, did I ever mention that his smile could take away pain if it could. What I find weird is that he completely acted as if I wasn't here when I first arrived and now he's looking at my body and smiling like the bad boy he is.  Sam's words play over in my mind, but I can't help but push those words aside and focus on him, my gut was telling me too.
