D-04

D-04 is born

"All systems online. D-04 active." The odd shaped thing moves around in front of D-04, his process was not fully complete. The thing made noise patterns from the flaps of its ..unknown data.. "Yes, this will surely do! Hello D-04, I am your creator and master Adam Shurts. You will receive an update now that will give you the fundamentals of what to understand." The thing in front of him inserts a wired looking piece into D-04. "Systems updating, thirty three percent complete, seventy eight percent complete, one hundred percent complete." D-04 was now capable of understanding speech! D-04 is asked by his master, "Can you process what I say now D-04?" D-04 replies, "Yes." D-04 raises his left metallic limb notified as an arm by the update,  he looks to his right and see's that it had a missile launcher attached to his forearm. His left hand had three fingers that were near identical to a human being. D-04 clenched his hand for a test, the test was successful. D-04's master then says as his test finishes, "Now D-04, I created you for a single purpose, but if you surpass my expectations I shall have you as my body guard. You should be honored." Data in his system was registered to get his master's affection, he was only to please his master. His master continued, "Before I send you on a mission, I want to see you go against your youngest brother, come out D-07!" D-04 detects some movement from above as a machine according to his data, looked exactly like him, D-05, and D-01. D-07's color was white, and D-04's was blue, "Data save complete." D-07 stands near the master as his cameras scans D-04 as if he was an enemy. Their master then says with a grin, "Alright you two, I want you both to fight and the one who wins will be sent out on the mission." D-04's master goes into room with a transparent mirror, his data stated that the glass was made of bulletproof material. "Data save complete." D-04's systems were then set to combat mode. D-07 does the same as D-04 fires first, D-07 hovers right and miscalculates, causing D-04's missile to follow and hits D-07! He began to malfunctions as damage to his head was critical! Their master comes out shouting, "Congratulations D-04, you can grab your new jet pack booster upgrade on the way out, I will send you the details of your mission!" His master was pleased, so D-04 walked over to the door as it opened. He then obtains the hovering disk nearby, letting it float upon his shoulders. "D-04 data updated" D-04 was capable of mid-air flight one hundred and fifty percent longer than before the upgrade. His master then sent info for the mission. "Program installed." A recorded video plays over the HUD of D-04's visor, "D-04 you must go and kidnap a grown man named Dylan Sheirs. All the data on his whereabouts should be in your system. Destroy anyone that gets in your way. Now go!" D-04 then heads off to find this "Dylan Sheirs". D-04 leaves the metallic laboratory and uses his new hover system to go find his target. Two hours have passed with no sign of Dylan Sheirs nearby, his data was insufficient. D-04 then prepared for landing." D-04 lands in a grass filled park. The area was empty yet a loud noise came from up ahead two hundred feet, "Scanning now." After his scan completed, D-04 noticed that his other brothers D-05 and D-01 were also present. Details of why they were there too were unknown. D-04 then walks towards his brothers. D-04, D-05, and D-01 scan each other and set up a data tether unit to communicate in private. D-05's message was received, "No sign of Dylan Sheirs." D-01's message was also received, "Heading back to base." D-04's data was insufficient, so he sent a question, "Why are D-01 and D-05 present?" D-01 replies, "Questioning is not part of D-01 programming. Heading to base." D-01 begins to fly off back to base as D-05 responds, "Question is not permitted, D-05's mission here is not complete. Search for Dylan Sheirs incomplete." D-05 leaves D-04 behind as he begins  to search in another location. D-04 was confused and had a want for more data. "Question is deleted by master program and places mission to priority." Three more hours pass by and Dylan Sheirs was finally found hiding in an apartment, D-04 was planning to transport him over to the base, but a child speaks to him from behind, "Hey let that man go!" D-04 turns one hundred and eighty degrees to deal with the problem. "Scan complete." There were six adults and six children. "Combat mode engaged." D-04 raises his weapon on his right arm, remembering his master's order, "Destroy anyone who gets in your way!" D-04 aims his gun at the child in front of him, but he couldn't pull the trigger. D-04 then turns one hundred and eighty degrees and uses his upgrade to head back to base, wondering why he decided to disobey his master's order. Two hours pass as D-04 arrives at the base with Dylan Sheirs, D-04 then waits in line for his master's affection. D-01, D-05, and D-04 line up for their master as he comes down the stair and heads to D-01 while shouting, "This child is not Dylan Sheirs you fool! Take her to the cell you idiot!" His master then goes to D-05 and shouts once again, "You retarded hunk of metal! Did I waste my time on you lot?! You all disappoint me! I will need to scrap you all cause I've  been begging for a new toaster!" D-04 turns and scans D-05's creature. It was an animal known as a raccoon. "Data save complete." His master then goes over to him, his blood pressure was high as he waits a moment before peaking at D-04. His master jumps back in confusion as he shouts, "By the stars, you did it D-04! No machine of mine has ever did his mission correctly! Now I can finally get the notes I need from this old bastard and will finally take down that damn superhero team back in Denver!" D-04 couldn't feel emotions since he was a robot, but he couldn't stop thinking about what he had did earlier with the other humans, he disobeyed yet he couldn't find out why.
