You Forgot

Chapter 2

Jack J's POV

I was on my way to class and I noticed my friend Shawn walked in front of me. We just got back from Magcon tour and he moved here cause his parents got a job. I walked in and saw that Shawn was talking to a really cute girl who also looked very familiar eh.

"Hey man wait up!" I yelled to Shawn. I walked up to him and got a closer look at the girl. No it can't be ugh! How come I ignored her I took my reputation over my friends and my past!

"R-Rose?" I asked. I was quite nervous she had changed in a good way. She no longer has, glasses,braces,acne,and most of all she looks like she isn't that shy at all.

She looks up she just looks at me in confusion. "Yes?" She asked. "Um it's me your best friend, Jack?" She is really confused now does she not remember me? No she has to I haven't changed that much have I?

Rose's POV

Now it's my turn to mess with. I started acting confused at all his questions then he asked if I remembered him and that he was my best friend, let me correct him. Was as in the past, as in people forget!

"I'm sorry am I supposed to know you?" I asked. He just looked at me like I was crazy. now do you like it Johnson?

"Yeah you are I was your best friend!" He exclaimed.

"Sorry but I really don't know who you are." I remarked.

I stuck out my hand "Rose, and you are?" I asked in a very polite tone. "Stop playing around Rose you know me and I know you?" He said in more of a question than a fact. Darn right it's a question I don't know him I knew the old caring non-self centered Johnson but now he is just a stranger to me.

"Look I don't know who you are sorry! But I think you should sit down class is about to start." I said. He from out of all the seats took the one behind me.

The whole class period he tried to talk to me he played with my hair he passed me notes! Ugh why is it now that it was so easy for him to ignore me for 6 months! But he can't just leave me alone for 20 minutes?!

Jack J's POV

I was trying to get her attention the whole time during class it just wouldn't work. The teacher said something about a project and that we would have partners, WAIT PARTNERS! I could try and gain our friendship back! But sadly she said that she would pick them. Shawn and Rose where put together I swear if he makes a move on her! I got paired up with this guy named Connor Franta. He's a cool guy pretty funny.

I saw Rose laugh at something Shawn said. Why are they so friendly all of a sudden?

Class finally ended I needed to get her alone so I got out of class really fast and waited by her locker. She came to her locker looking surprised yet confused?

"Hey! What's up Jack right?"

She asked. "Rose, stop acting like you don't know me cause I've know you since we were little!'' I exclaimed. She still just looked at me bewildered.

"Will you just meet me at our old spot where we would always meet when we needed time alone?" I asked. "I can try and find this special place you are talking about but it might be awhile." I just nodded.

School finally ended and I started driving to our 'spot' when I got there I waited about 5 minutes and I saw her pull up I knew she would remember that means she still remembers me.

Rose's POV

I knew what Jack was talking about. Once I got there I saw him, I walked out and saw that Jack was sitting under the willow tree I guess he saw me cause he turned around and smiled and returned it. I've been going here everyday since he left, since he forgot about me. I walked up to him and sat down next to him.

"This place is beautiful when did you find this place?" I asked.

"Rose just stop, we both know when we both found it can we please just cut the act?" he pleaded while putting an emphasis on both.

"I don't know what your talking about." I said. He just scoffed. I was so close to getting up and leaving. I'd rather have food with me right now.

"Rose, will you please stop the act why are you doing this I thought you'd be more than happy to see me!" He whined.

I just scoffed. "Like you didn't know." He looks at me in bewilderment then his eyes widen as it just now dawned on him.

"Look I'm sorry that I haven't contacted you in forever it's just that-" I cut him off. "Just that what Johnson? Don't give me that I never have my phone or that I was busy crap. Cause yes I do watch your vines and I do see your tweets and stuff. You post on them every single day Johnson. Do I still follow you on those yes! Why? Because I thought you would remember and that we would keep in touch but I guess I was wrong." I said I was on the verge of tears me saying that reminded me why I changed.

"Look I'm sorry yes you have good reasons but I just let the popularity go to my head I'm sorry I know that's something you can't forget but can you forgive?" He pleaded. He stared in to eyes the whole time he said that.

"Look Jack it's going to take me a while to forgive and I can never forget." I said looking down at my hands.

"I'm sorry." He said. "Look I just have one question for you." I asked. "What is it?" He said with concern.

"Why is it that your just now talking to me once I've changed I know cause we go to the same school and all but, you just noticed me at class would you have ever come up to me and spoke to me again if I hadn't change? And I still looked liked the nerdy me?" I asked.

He just looked at me. "I knew it." I said. He is just like every boy. I got up and started walking towards my car. "Rose wait!" Jack yelled. "Why? I knew it your just like every other boy you only want me for my looks that I've changed you don't want me for me." I yelled back.

I just drove off to my house in tears why does he do this to me? I can't control my feelings. I wish he would change and act like the old Jack.
