As my eyes fluttered open it took me a minuet to adjust to the brightness of the beaming light coming from my window. My apartment was on the 3rd floor so I had a perfect view to look over the local park. I stretched and opened twitter, after chilling and chatting to a couple of my best friends who I miss dearly via Facebook, I got up and made myself a bacon sandwich.

Today my day is going to be like most of my other days since I have been in London. Catching up with jet lag, eating, bathing and online shopping for decorations or cutlery or whatever. Fortunately my apartment already came furnished so most of the things I needed was already here but I wasn't completely finished with the decorating.

It was now 4pm so I decided to finally get out the house and walk down to the park. I sat down with my book on the bench and started reading. I was about halfway down a page when I felt someone else join me on the bench. I looked up, immediately regretting it as the sun practically blinded me,forcing me to squint at the new presence.

It was a young boy, looked around the same age as me, 19 or 20. he was quite good looking, he had blonde hair and his eyes were an immaculate shade of blue/ green. He politely smiled hen he glanced up from his iPhone Catching me staring at him. I smiled back and stared reading my book again.

After about 8 minuets, he shuffled up closer to me. normally when a stranger was getting to close to me, I would feel completely uncomfortable and straight away walk away but this time I just looked up an smiled. it wasn't as uncomfortable as it should be, but I wasn't complaining.

"What book you reading?" he had a strong accent, I couldn't quite put my finer on which accent though..

"The fault in our stars" I replied, once again squinting as I look up at him. damn sun.

"What's it about?" Irish.

"It's a soppy novel for your teenage girls, trust me, I don't think you will be interested" I didn't mean to sound rude, I hope he didn't take it in the wrong way..

" listen, I may look tough on the outside but I'm a real softie when it comes to movies or books."

In reality, he didn't look 'tough' on the outside at all, he was certainly good looking but his eyes were so soft and his voice was kind, and if he is a 'softie' on the inside, then that concludes my point.

" Well it's about a boy and a girl who both either has or had cancer and fall in love, the boy kicked cancers arse a couple years back. He uses his wish from the 'make a wish foundation' to take her to Amsterdam. But what she doesn't know is just before the trip, he found out the cancer came back but all over his body but he didn't tell her until just before the trip ended. He soon dies and she lives on to help people with cancer or fighting for their lives in hospital."

"Wow."

" It's so intriguing, the author John Green makes everything seem like it's happening right now and that your there right then. He is so powerful with words and he is just amazing."

" I guess I will check out this 'John Green' then. I have a friend who is really into books and writing, I will be sure to recommend this 'amazing John Green' to him" he said winking at me.
"Niall, nice to meet you." He held out his hand for me to shake, so I did.

"Melissa, Melissa woods."
We both smiled at each other and after a not so awkward couple of minuets of silence he Finally spoke up.

" Well, Melissa Woods, I've got to go now, but give my a ring if you ever want to hang out or have a chat." he said with his adorable accent as he write his number down on my arm.

"Bye Niall"

"Bye Melissa"
