Rosalina's Familiar [Slow Updates]

Chapter Two: Rosalia Von Covianna

The sound of Senya's roar can be heard within the whole clan and rumbled throughout the whole town and city of other supernaturals. But Senya's transformation did not just affect him but also a young 16 year old pink haired girl with hair so long that it reaches the bottom of her back and eyes a beautiful violet blue hue color that anyone who looks in them will get mesmerized.

She was the seventh child out of eight of the royal Covianna family and her name was Rosalia Von Covianna and, just like Senya, was a late bloomer in awakening her abilities. However, unlike Senya, Rosalia was not a supernatural but a regular human.

Humans who were able to find a supernatural partner were given the name contractors and if a supernatural accepted you as their contractor you gain them as a familiar as well as being able to receive their abilities as well. The only way someone was able to know if they were able to form a contact with a supernatural was if they were born with a mark known as a sigil. Rosalia had a pink sigil of a dragon in a tribal design on her chest over her heart, and it was believed that she would have been able to make a contract with a dragon. Unfortunately, after her 14th birthday it was then classified as a pseudo sigil.

At least that is what the abilities of the humans were, and if someone wasn't able to find a supernatural partner after they turned 14 were called "Lessers" or "Peasants", since it was mostly peasants that couldn't form contracts with supernaturals.

This resulted in her became a laughing stock in her school and a disgrace to her family. On the other hand Rosalia's younger brother Avril turned 14 years of age a week ago and had his own supernatural already.

A legendary guardian ranked winged white tiger, which made Rosalia's  parents so proud of her brother. After completing a contract with his supernatural, Avril gained a couple of interesting physical traits. His once blonde hair and blue eyes, which he had inherited from his father, had now changed to be white hair which where black at the roots with silver like blue eyes. She was of course absolutely proud of her younger brother as well, but was truly ashamed of herself and the disappointment that she caused her family.

Her father, Vladimus Von Covianna, held the most pride for his youngest son Avril and his other 6 children. From oldest to youngest they were Forren, Joyce, Nel, Excellia, Eros, and Raven. However, her mother, Ariel Argentviel Von Covianna, was also proud of her children but was very caring and the most precious to Rosalia.

This made Rosalia adore her mother more and her youngest brother Avril came as a close second which might be surprising to most. Despite their differences their relationship has always been the closet to what a sibling relationship should be unlike her relationship with her older siblings.

As Rosalia was starring lost in thought at the beautiful morning sky on the balcony of her room in her family mansion, a young figure with white hair that was black at the roots with silver blue eyes appeared and landed on the edge of her balcony as silent as the wind, briefly shocking her. She relaxes as she realizes that it was Avril, her newly contracted brother.

"Hello sister," Avril greeted with a charming smile, squatting down on the ledge to meet her eyes and kissing Rosalia on her cheek "everyone is gathered in the dining hall waiting for your acquaintance for our morning meal. Won't you join us? "

"You know a lesser like me is not wanted around the family table. Why should I attend if my company isn't wanted nor appreciated? " Rosalia answered with a smile that was forced.

"Oh boohoo...not even for your favorite brother, Rosie. Everyone is so serious and no fun. " Avril added while pouting, calling Rosalia by the nick name he gave her. He gently wraps his arms around Rosalia's neck as he rubs his cheek on hers. "Plus," he adds as he stops and looks Rosalia in her violet blue eyes "mother wants to see you. You've been in your room for days."
