The Twist of Murder

Chapter One

"Jungkook," said two voices one was male voice and it screaming and the other voice was a woman and it was calm, it had an echo to it. "Wake up." The voices repeated in my head over and over again. It kept getting louder and louder. I then jumped awake which removed me from the voices.

"Easy there Jungkook," said a woman who sitting next to me on the bed. "Honey, you are sweating. Did you have another nightmare?" She placed her hand on my chest.

"Yeah," I said as I got up from bed. The sun wasn't up yet in Seoul.

"Hey maybe you should go see that doctor again," she said to me as she watch me go towards to the bathroom.
"Melody," I say as I turn to her. "I'm fine. I don't need to go back to my therapist. So don't worry about it." I took off my half soaked shirt and throw it on the bed. "It's just a nightmare." I then turned and closed the bathroom door.

After getting dressed I headed into the kitchen apartment where Melody was. It smelled of vegetable omelette, tofu with seasoned soy sauce, rice cooked with red and black beans, radish kimchi, and Korean Coleslaw. It was one of my favorites.

"Hello sweetie," I said as entered to room. I gave Melody peck on the cheek and then grabbed the newspaper.

"Hello Kookie," She said with a smile. She placed a plate in front of me when I sat down. "So do you want to talk about......you know your nightmare?"

"Mel," I said in an annoyed tone. "I'm fine."

"Okay," She says. "I just thought you would want to talk about it."

I sighed to and then said, "No Melody. I am fine. I promise." She nodded.

After a few minutes went by which is when Melody said, "Oh by the way we are having dinner with my older sister!" I choked on my food and then looked up at her with surprise. "What," I said.

"Yeah," she said to me with a smile. "I think it's a great a idea. Beside we have been dating for over a year so it would be great. You will love...my sister and she will love....you"

"Are you being serious?" I asked.

"Yes I am," she said. "Now you need to go get ready for work."

I got up from my seat and ready for work. Before left I kissed Melody and said to her, "Do really have to go to this dinner and meet your sister."

"You will be fine," She said. "Now go!"

I left the apartment and headed to the elevator. When the elevator opened their was my best friend Kim Yugyeom.

"Hey Yugyeom," I said.

"Hey Jungkook." He was looking at his phone and then look up at me with a smile. "How is the girlfriend?"

"Good but she told me something today," I said.

"And, what is that?" He asked.

"She is taking me to go meet her older sister," I said. "Tonight."

"Oh I bet that will be fun," He said with a smile.

I turned to him and said, "No it won't because I know nothing about her nor what she does for a living. I don't even know her name."

We walked out of the elevator and headed to the apartment garage. We got into Yugyeom's car and then I said, "I legit know nothing."

"Well then all I say is good luck," He said to me with a laugh.

"Thanks," I said as Yugyeom began to driving the car.

At the Police Station

Once we got to work which was Seoul Police Department we were immediately yelled at by Detective Kim Yoongi.

"You two are late," Yoongi yelled.

"By five minutes," Yugyeom said as he sat at our desk which were side by side.

I started to looking through my email for the Physic Scientist named Im Changkyun. For two days I have been waiting for his to send me anything that could help us move forward in this case. When I saw he hadn't emailed me I moved out to looking through my past cases. Yoongi walked up to Yugyeom with dark look and said, "What the hell are you doing?"

"I'm playing Solitaire," he said to Yoongi.

"Detective Yugyeom do your damn work," Yoongi said. "Or so help me I will get the chief to take your badge so fast you won't know what hit you."

"Yes sir," Yugyeom said.

"Jungkook," Yoongi yelled at me.

"Yes sir," I said without looking at him.

"What the hell are you doing," He said to me.

"I'm reading through my work to make sure everything is correct," I said and then turned to look up at Yoongi.

"Yugyeom," Yoongi said as he turned to face Yugyeom. "Take note of your partner. As you can see he does his work unlike you."

Yoongi walked away before seeing Yugyeom rolled his eyes. I laugh at what just took place. Yugyeom then back to his game and I turned back to my work. The hours went by slowly but soon it was my time to left for dinner.

"Are you nervous?" Yugyeom said to me.

"Yes," I said. "Now stop talking! Dead skin cells are falling from your month."

I then I started to leave and but before Yugyeom said to me, "What the worst that could go happen?"

Once I picked up Melody she was giving me directions.

"Turn Left up here," she said.

"Okay," I said. "Can you tell me anything about you older sister?"

"No," she said. "Now turn right up here."

"Nothing," I said. "You won't say anything. What is she like? Is she nice? What is her favorite color for God Sake?"

"Her favorite color is black. Now park the car there," She pointed.

When I did I immediately look out the windshield to see a big purple and red sign for the Masquerade Dance Club. I turn to Melody and asked "Why are we here?"

"Umm well my sister works here," she said and then gets out of the car before I could say anything.

I get out and walk up to her and then say "She works here? You know who runs this place, right?"

"Well actually when I mean she works here. I mean she owns and run the club."

"What," I said "Your sister is Mal.."

"Mallory!" Melody squeded into my eye.

I turn to look to see the notorious Mallory Kim.

"Hello Jungkook," Mallory said with smirk. "It's been awhile."
