*Lilah's POV*
When I got home, the screaming began. Which brought back my headache. So, I wasn't exactly in the best mood.
"Lilah Arson look at what you've done!" my mother screeched.
I looked at Malissa who was holding her bloody nose as she whimpered and I shrugged.
"You've actually broken her nose!" my mother exclaimed, looking at me incredulously for a reaction. "Do you even care?!"
I looked her dead in the eye. "She has you for that, Mom."
"You are grounded until her nose heals properly!" she fumed.
I nodded and headed to the stairs, not really caring what she said.
"You may act like it's no big deal, but it will be when you have to tell Simone that you won't be competing."
I stopped and turned. "You're really going to rob me of something that I've been working so hard on for the past month?"
"That's what you did to Malissa! She won't be able to model like this!"
"Do you even know why I punched her? No! You don't! Because you automatically take her side instead of coming to me and getting my side of the story like a normal, loving mom."
"Don't you use that tone of voice with me!" she screamed.
"I WISH YOU WEREN'T MY MOM!" I screamed back before storming up the stairs.
I slammed my door behind me and cried. I cried and shoved my face in my pillow and screamed. I wondered if this was what it was like for Reece to lose his father. Because even though my mother hadn't physically died, I had lost her.

"Oh my gosh you did WHAT?!" Renee asked.
"I punched her. Right in the schnoz."
They both held there stomachs and clapped like deaf seals. This was the picture that I was standing before when Reece came up to me.
He pointed and arched an eyebrow.
"I just informed them of my badassery."
"Ah. I see. How's your hand?" he asked.
I shrugged. "It's fine."
"You grounded?"
"Yup. She's 'forbidden' me to compete in the dance competition too."
He looked at me strangely. "You're taking it...well....strangely."
I shrugged again. "She's going to be too focused on finding another model to replace Malissa to worry about what I'm doing."
"Have you gotten his tights yet?" Carter joked as he hobbled up. He slung an arm over Renee and she blushed a deep red but didn't push it off. He smirked down at her and I smiled.
"What? I am not wearing tights."
I rolled my eyes. "You don't have to, Carter is just being a dimwit."
"So if Reece sucks, can I bring tomatoes?" Carter asked again before Renee elbowed him in the side.
"You are 'so' encouraging," Reece said sarcastically.
"Pssh. Would it help if I bought you a tiara and some flowers?"
"Would you shut up?" Aria cut in. "Now, when is your competition again?"
