The Voice

You're listening to your favorite song when an unfamiliar voice from your headphones asks,

"Hey, can anybody hear me" you shake of fear

"Play smule a voice recording app to you singing music, other people can listen to your beautiful singing voice or handsome. Whatever gender you are" the voice advertises

"Geez that scared me a lot" your friend just laughs

"Haha advertisement"

"It scared me okay"

"Yeah scaredy cat"

"Hey it's not funny, I really was scared"

"For a person advertising"

"I thought it was a hacker, it sounded deep but that's probably somebody's voice"

"It's still funny"

"Be quiet" 'til I hear the voice again

"I'll hear every move" I gulp

"Now I'm even more scared"

"It's just an advertisement"

"I hear you" I take off my headphones and shut off my phone

"Um how about we sell this laptop"

"Why" your friend questions

"Because it's listening to me"

"Is there really a hacker"

"I really do think so"

I go into a Microsoft store and ask somebody is listening to me onto my phone

"Uh sir that's part of the advertisement of the app"

"No I don't think so they're saying that they hear every step"

"Have you listened to the whole entire advertisement"

"No" he goes over to the computer and shows the advertisement video of the app

"See man, the company just wants you to download it and buy in-app purchases"

"Oh well then sorry for being a bother" you walk away and go home.
