Ariana Kepley. In one word, rebellious. Ariana is sixteen years old, two months away from seventeen. She has been to Hell and back. Multiple times, actually. No, it's not literal. But to her the feeling is as though she has been.
It happened when she was fourteen, one day that will stick with her for the rest of her life. Her nine year old brother died of cancer and suddenly reality was set cold and hard for Ariana and her family. She went through a depressed stage; locked herself in her room, wouldn't eat, barely slept. Her friends finally gave up on her even though she needed them more than she knew herself.
At age fifteen, Ariana started hanging out with the wrong group when things at home got out of hand, sleeping all day, partying and causing chaos at night. She turned to drugs and alcohol for a period of time until it did nothing for her except take the thoughts and pain away for a short time only to replace it with a dark numbness. When she sobered up, each and every time the guilt and disgust only worsened. She hated what she was doing to herself and tried to keep clean. Only, she lived with her 'friend' at the time so she had to pack all her things to leave.
Ariana got better; she moved back in with her parents and started hanging out with her real friends again. She even started dating her childhood best friend and crush. Everything finally seemed to be brightening up for her. But before she could catch a break, even though she hadn't been living with her old group for six months now, cops found evidence when they were at her old place that she had been involved with the people still living there. Ariana couldn't deny that she wasn't there so she, with the rest of the teens there, was sentenced to Juvenile Jail.
Now, almost a year later, she's out and ready to try her best to not get back in. she's going to try to salvage the friendships and relationship she had before she had to go away. But, it has been a year, a lot has changed. Being her, included.
And, you already know what they say about the past, it has a way of catching up to you.
