Chapter 1

No ones PoV
Lance lay on his stiff bed looking at the plain white celling everything was plain, white and cold I mean he is in space so what were you expecting a five star hotel.
Lance had many secrets like for example he barley slept he tried to avoid eating, he'd thought about cutting when he was back on earth but decided against it but Lance's biggest secret was that he was adopted I mean it didn't sound too bad but then there was the fact he couldn't remember anything from the age of nine.
Lance lay there deep in thought until a hard knock rang through the room causing him to fall out of his bed in shock " Lance uhhh dinner is ready just to let you know" It was Keith and he sounded a bit nervous after hearing Lance thump on the floor, Lance got up and opened the door when he looked out he saw no one but he could hear Keith's foot steps coming from the hall.
Lance followed Keith even though he was nowhere to be seen he could still hear his foot steps through the corridor.
He approached the dinning room door took a big breath put on one his famous fake smiles and walked in glancing at Keith as he glared back and took his usual seat next to Keith.
He looked into his space goo that Hunk had placed in front of him. He didn't feel hungry so he just watched hoping his tasteless food would disappear.
"Hey Lance buddy are you alright? you haven't touched your food" It was Hunk in his concerned voice like I'm not going to shout at you I'm just giving you advice kinda look.
"Yea I'm fine I'm just not hungry" Lance looked up at his big friend and smiled easing Hunks conscious.
Lance shoved some food down his mouth trying not to throw up on Keith in the proses his stomach was not happy.
Pidge was on her computer, Lance swore she and the computer were connected somehow like maybe Pidge was part machine that would explain why she is so techy like Lance swore swore he'd seen Pidge staring an Shiro's arm like 100 times . She shoved a huge spoon full down she reminded Lance on a pig who was on a mission, on the opposite side to Lance was Shiro he watched Pidge in discuss as she launched another mouthful down her trap.
"Great food Hunk best food goo ever!!!" Pidge spat half way through a mouthful.
" Pidge don't eat with you mouthful" Shiro spoke, every one burst out laughing including Keith though he didn't laugh he just wore a big grin.
" Shiro you said eat instead of speak" Pidge blurted between giggles, Hunk was having what looked like a panic attack but he was just in such a fit of laughter he couldn't breath.
" I did not" Shiro spoke he looked embarrassed that he had slipped up infront of the four teens.
" You did" Keith smirked
" Yea" Lance said gaining back his sanity. " You totally said it" Lance smiled and looked at Keith who still had a grin but it was smaller now.
" Anyway, where is Coran and Allura?" Asked Keith.
" Allura said they were checking out this new planet apparently they found a weird coded message but they weren't sure if it was a distress signal or not" Shiro said in his best leader voice.
" Then what are we waiting for an invitation" Pidge looked up from her computer she had finished all her food as had everyone else except Lance, it went unnoticed like normal no one saw the bags under his eyes or how fake his smile was they just shrugged it off like it was nothing.
"Okay let's go" Keith said he stood up and left not waiting for anyone else to get up.
The other 4 paladins stood up put their bowl of goo in the sink and followed Keith to the control room, Pidge, Hunk and Shiro were lost in conversation while Lance trailed behind it was a short walk to the control room but it felt like years to Lance he watched his teammates his friends have a complex conversation without him I mean it's not like he would understand anyway right?
They entered the control room Lance was last like always he took his place next to Keith, Keith just glared at him and sighed today was going to be a long day.
