The night was dark and cloudless. I sky was fading from dark purple to deep blue. Storm clouds began to for as Maya walked home from her job. It seemed as though the storm was following her. She was around the corner from her house the rain began to pour down. It was pouring down so hard that it sounded like golf balls hitting the cars. But this wasn't unusual seeing as though it seemed to rain everyday, even if it was summer. The thunder crashed and lightning struck. Maya began to walk faster. Then her phone rang...

She answerd the phone
"Uhh is this Maya?" The person said nervously
Yes who are you?
"Well im... ummm im... I'm sorry I can't tell you that. But I can tell you that you're never gonna be the same."
What?
The phone gets disconnected
A little freaked our Maya began to run. As she started to run lightning struck and almost hit her. She began to pick up her speed. The lightning was getting closer and closer. Her adrenaline was pumping,her heart beating a mile a minute. She was running faster and faster, those track meets in High school were finally paying off. But she wasn't fast enough. The lightning came down with a force like No other and struck her. Her eating started to ring and her vision was blurred. She tried running again but failed to keep her balance. She fell and her head hit the ground was a bang. She felt warm liquid slowly start to form a puddle around her. Her blood. She was bleeding out and slowly dying. She couldn't do anything but sit there and accept her fate. She was going to die. Around her she heard screaming and a figure appeared over her. She closed and eyes and prepared herself for death. She felt her heart slow down, her blood filling the pavement. Then she took her last breath.

THREE MONTHS LATER
The room was all white. The lights were bright in her eyes. Maya slowly opened her eyes. Everything seemed blurry. Maya jumped upnput of the bed.
Where am I?"
She heard footsteps coming towards her. Her vision was still blurred so she couldn't make out who it was but she knew it was a man. She took a couple steps back and tripped over a stool and yanked the IV out of her arm and she started bleeding.
"Take it easy Maya i dont want to hurt you."
"Who are you?"
"I can't tell you that right now."
" I said who are you!"
Maya grabbed an empty bed pan and tried to hit the man but he was too fast and threw it and grabbed her.
"Clam down Maya."
Where am I?
Where am I?!
I'm supposed to be dead
As she asked that question she felt a needle pierce her neck. Then darkness.
