What Just Happened? (One Direction Fanfic)

Chapter 3

Ava's P.O.V:

I locked my gold iPhone 5s and put it in its usual spot of my back pocket. Slowly I began the long trek to the completely other side of the mall. The things I do for this girl. After what seems like an eternity, I reach the end of the mall and Ulta. I sat on the bench just like she told me, but of course when 5 minutes passed, she didn't show up. Me, always thinking the worst, started panicking. I feverishly started texting her "where the fuck are you, who took you" etc. I turned around when I felt someone tap my shoulder. To my surprise, it was Sky. "You fucking bitch!" I screamed as I slapped her shoulder.

"Ave, calm down. I was a few minutes late, not an hour. The line was long anyways or else you know I would have been out here."

"I know, I'm sorry. I've just been really paranoid lately."

Sky's P.O.V:

Something is definitely up with Ava, I can sense it. Normally I'd be quick to try to figure out what's wrong, but given the fact that we're in the middle of the mall right now, I probably should wait until we're in the car. I seriously cannot wait for the concert, it's going to be amazayn, phenomeniall, fabulouis, brilliam, and extraordinharry!! Wow I'm a loser. I really hope that this will be an unforgettable experience. I mean I know it'll be amazing, but I've read fanfics and stuff where they meet 1D and one of the guys falls in love with the girl. I know the chances of that actually happening are like 1 in a million or something like that, but a girl can dream right?

Many different thoughts run through my head as we walk out of the mall and to my car. So many, infact, that I didn't even notice that I was walking out into traffic until Ava grabbed my arm and yanked me backwards. "Woah Sky. That was a close one."

"Yeah I know, I guess today just isn't my day," I replied as I hit the car alarm button on my keys so we could find it easier. The mall was packed.

As we finished putting our things away in the backseat, I turned to Ava. "So," I said. "The concert is in 3 days and we still need to get a hotel and stuff like that. I was thinking that we could try to find out what hotel the boys are staying at and book a room for 4 days so we have as many chances as possible to see them. Do you want to drive or do you want me to?"

"Yeah, I've been thinking about that myself...I'll try to find out what hotel they will be at, and it really doesn't matter to me who drives, it's completely up to you."

"Well what if we just take turns driving? Like we could find a half way point I guess," I replied, trying to reason with her.

"Yeah, whatever."

"Ok Ave, seriously, what's up? Is everything okay?" I say. I see her lose her smile for one quick second and then it goes right back to a smile.

"Y-yeah everything is fine," She says stuttering slightly. I didn't believe that for one second.

"Ava, I know there is something up. You know you can tell me anything." I say looking at her.

"I don't know, Skylar. I've just been feeling pretty moody lately, it's probably just my period. It's nothing, I'm fine."

I decided to just drop it and leave it at that. When Ava Marie Dawson is in a mood, there is no getting her out of it unless she wants out. There's no reasoning with her. I climbed in the drivers seat and started backing out of the parking spot. Ava scrolled through our one direction playlist on the iPod we keep in the car and eventually just decided to put it on shuffle. We drove in silence as we listened to Kiss You, Midnight Memories, Irresistible, etc.

After about an hour and a half, we pulled up the driveway of our apartment. It took a little longer this time because of afternoon traffic. Ava unplugged the iPod from the aux cord and put it in her purse. She was probably going to bring it inside to charge it. I watched her grab her bags from the backseat and then walk inside. It probably would just be better to let her do her own thing for right now.

Ava's P.O.V:

Today was just not my day. I was worrying about the concert and about meeting the boys. Niall wouldn't like me, I'm fat and not to mention ugly, too. I unlocked the door to the apartment and set my bags on the counter. I walked over to the fridge and looked inside, only to find it almost empty. Well besides milk, eggs, and a cucumber, we literally didn't have anything. I heard the front door open and I ran over to Sky, almost knocking her on her ass. "Sky!! We have no fucking food. I need food. Do you want me to starve?"

"Ava, you literally just ate this morning, you aren't going to starve. You have the appetite of a fucking bear, Jesus."

"It isn't funny, I'm hungry," I whined.

"Okay whatever, just go to the store. The keys are on the counter, I'll write a list for you." She said rolling her eyes.

Ten minutes later, Skylar had composed a list of all the food I was supposed to buy at the store, because knowing me, I'd forget it if she didn't. I took the list from her and read it over a couple times and then walked out the door. I hopped in the car and looked at myself in the mirror. "Wow, I look like shit," I mumbled to myself as I put the key in the ignition and pulled out of the driveway.

*After the store*

I finished putting my groceries away in the back and shut the door. Sky was probably going to be pissed at me for buying so much food, but oh well. I'm a growing girl, I need to eat! I decide to take a snap and send it to her. God I love making her mad. I got my face in the picture as well as all of the groceries. When I was satisfied with the picture, I made the caption '#noragrets' and sent it to her. I scrolled through my twitter and checked up on my favorite boys. It was so weird to think that we were going to be breathing the same air in 3 fucking days! When I was done stalking, I locked my iPhone and set it down in the little cup holder. Fifteen minutes later, I was putting the groceries away when I heard snoring. I looked over at the couch and saw my best friend sprawled out on it, mouth hanging wide open, drool sliding down the corner. I took this as the perfect black mail opportunity and got my phone out and took a picture, careful not to wake her. I giggled to myself and set it as her contact picture.

After that, I remembered that I was really hungry. I walked to the pantry and grabbed some Goldfish. I walked over to the recliner and turned on the T.V. and watched reruns of Vampire Diaries while Skylar slept. An hour later the bag of Goldfish was all gone and Skylar had woken up. I decided to leave her on the couch and go take a shower.

I grabbed my milk and honey splash shampoo and ran it through my hair. I did the same with conditioner. I grabbed the same kind of body wash and washed myself. I'm legitimately in love with this collection of milk and honey splash. I use it all the time! Of course while I'm doing all this I was having a little concert to myself. I'm sang I'm Ready By AJR. I seriously am in love with this new boyband. Not as much as One Direction though because no one can replace them, and no one ever will. I think I'm singing a little too loud because I heard my singing getting played back. I opened up the curtain a little and popped my head out. I saw Skylar laughing and she had her phone in her hand. Oh no. "What the fuck did you do," I said. Sky snapped her head up.

"Um just posted you singing on my snapchat story," Sky said.

"Oh. My. God. You did not. You're gonna pay!" I yelled. Sky ran away thinking I'm gonna chase her, but I decided not to. I got out of the shower and dry off. I got dressed in my PJs. I walked out to see that Skylar is already in her Pajamas. We said goodnight and went to our separate bedroom. Concert in three days. Concert in three days. Concert in three fucking days. This is what was on my mind while I at least tried going to sleep. All I thought about was the concert until my mind was completely blank and I was asleep.

I'm so sorry we are three weeks late on our update. I was camping for two weeks and Alysia was busy the third week so we had no time at all to work on it. To make sure this never happens again Alysia and I are gonna be updating on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Once and a while you might get an extra chapter during the week. Who knows?
