(Hisako's point of view)
I am Hisako - warrior princess, as most call me. My brother Kaito, and I were born from royalty - the Wind Tribe leader and his wife, my mom. Sadly, people at school don't treat me like royalty. I hope they can squeeze this into their tiny little brains: I'm the one who chooses Wind Tribe's enemies, so they better watch who they mess with.
I'm here at the Six Tribe School of Power. Here they teach us about, well, the six Tribes' powers. Wind Tribe has wings, like mine. Fire Tribe can shoot fireballs from their palms, and Dark Tribe can blind people for a few minutes. They can also melt into shadows, control darkness, and sometimes even read minds. Whew, how I wish I was in dark tribe! Light Tribe can blind people, but they use bright lights, unlike Dark Tribe. They can also disappear in sunlight, almost as if they are fading. Water Tribe can breath underwater, so it's almost impossible to drown them. Nature tribe can control vines. Earth Tribe can make patches of land float, rise mountains, and create sinkholes.
"You okay, Hisako?" I turned around to see my best friend, Hana.
"Hey Hana, how are you doing?" I asked her. I haven't seen her in a long time.
"I'm fine... What about you?" She looked at me with her sad, green eyes, a fire burning behind them.
"I'm doing great! So, how are you with your fire training, observing that you have nature and fire now!" I said. Ever since Nature Tribe has been attacked by Fire Tribe, they have been weak. Hana was originally from Nature Tribe, but after they stopped attacking, she decided to join the Fire Tribe, thinking she might be useful.
"It's okay, I still need some practice though. I hope I can actually be useful for once-" The bell interrupted Hana's words. "Well, it's time for my second class. I'm gonna be learning about Water Tribe's abilities. Bye." Hana walked away, her legs like thin sticks.
I turned to see my best friend, Ayema. "Hey, Ayema! You ready to learn about Light Tribe's abilities?"
"Yeah." Ayema is my best friend and the sword of Dark Tribe. Every tribe has their own weapon, including the weakest tribe, Earth Tribe.
"Hey, Ayema, how's it going, now that you're the Dark Tribe's Sword?" I said as we walked in the classroom.
"Awesome, actually. I hope you become a sword, sword of psychic power." She laughed. "If it's actually a real power!" she laughed again and elbowed my arm. I laughed with her. It's not like the Psychic power is real, right?
"Yeah, I'm not that strong anyways! Besides, it would take years to get my powers trained, so I don't have to be, well, shooting vines at people on accident or... 'accidentally' destroying the academy." I winked and laughed. "Well, class is about to-" I turned my head to see my year's handsomest boy, Yuki. He looked at me with his deep, blue eyes while walking past me. I smiled and blushed.
"You're such a fool!" Ayema laughed. I turned my head and smiled at her. The bell rang. Ayema whispered to me, "Look who's sitting next to you, lovebird." I whirled my head around to see Yuki.
"Oh, uhm.. Hi Yuki..." I said, blushing up a storm.
"Hey Hisako. How's Kaito?"
"Good, he finally has a friend." He laughed.
"'Finally?' Has he been bothering Ayema that much?"
"I guess, but his name is-" Mr. Hanfir, the teacher, stopped talking and walked up the steps. He stopped next to my row.
"Hisako! Yuki! Stop talking, I'm in the middle of teaching! Do you want detention?" The teacher yelled, bending down to face us.
"Sorry, Mr. Hanfir." I slid down in my seat, later getting up and leaning on the wooden wall behind me.
