"Stop it! My hair looks horrible today!"

"No it doesn't, Viv. It looks... Exotic.", he said with a sly grin.

"Exotic? Really? That just makes me feel like I have the mane of an African lioness."

Andrew laughed at my respond, "Lioness don't have manes, just the male lions"

"Well how am I supposed to know that? Please just put the camera down. Please Andy." I looked up at him and batted my eyelashes.

Andrew looked at me and sighed before he took his camera from his face, "Fine. How am I supposed to say no to those puppy eyes of yours?"

I grinned at him, a big cheshire cat grin that spread from one side of my face to the other and before I realized his eyes were back to his camera and his finger on the shutter.

"Oh, Andrew. You're dead!", I screamed at him as he started sprinting down the school field before joining him in a chase.

Andrew turned his head around as he ran and screamed back, "This pic is defiantly one for keeps!"

We ran around the grassy field for a while, me shouting threats and Andy replying with silly taunts. We were both out of breath before I cornered him into the metal bleachers and ripped his camera from his hands.

"Hey! Be careful with her!", Andrew shouted at me, still panting, referring to his camera.

"Don't worry, I know you love this camera more than me." I said with a small pout. "You know what? I'll let you keep the picture as long as it doesn't go anywhere. If I see this on Facebook I will kill you", I said staring at Andrew

"Don't worry. It won't", Andy said with a reassuring nod

I took my hand from his torso which I use to pin him against the metal fence separating the seats from the field and handed his camera back to him. We both slid down and landed on the ground beside each other. I leaned my head against his shoulder and let my eyelids fall to a close. Andrew tilted his head so that it fitted perfectly on top of mine. We were both panting deeply from our chase.

I fell into deep thought. I felt so safe in Andrew's presence. He was probably the only person in my life I could truly count on. Ever since my father left me five years ago, everything went downhill. I can't remeber the last time my mom was sober without the smell of cigarette smoke staining her. The number of boys (and girls) my older sister, Amalia has brought in is uncountable but mainly I just feel bad for my younger brother, Liam. He was only four when our father left. He was raised without a father and barely even a mother, I tried to my best to fill in for those gaping holes in his life but he was still forced to grow up. Liam might only be nine but he's possibly the most mature nine year old you would ever meet. As for me, well, I've learned not to let anyone into my life. I've learned that eventually people abadon you and the only thing they leave are scars. Scars of memories, of pain. Scars that never fade. I've learned to put a wall up between fantasy and reality, I've learned to plaster a smile on my face and a false twinkle in my eyes. No one ever cared enough to notice the lies... well, no one except Andrew.

*Flashback* (Third Person)

The sky was grey with clouds, spitting rain as sharp as knives on whoever was unfortunate enough to be caught in it's fury. Lying on the side of a brick house, curled up in a small ball was a girl, probably only twelve years young, weeping enough tears to fill up an ocean as sorrow enveloped her.

*Andrew's P.O.V*

I stared at her from the gap in the fence between our houses, I had heard screams and shouting in her house when I was taking the rubbish out. I felt the desperate need to comfort her, I didn't know why, but it hurt me to see her in pain. "Pssh, hey, are you alright?", I said to her quietly but loud enough to be heard through the storm. She raised her head as I saw a red mark acorss her face, her iris black against the dark light, her eyes were bloodshot as tears fell down her face. Her hair; wet and plastered wildly across her face.
