Telling the members

Four months earlier...

"Is everything okay?" Jimin asked as soon as he stepped into the room. He noticed how tense Hoseok was.

Hoseok nodded.

Yoongi walked in, yawning loudly, "Hoseok, I sacrifice my dinner to see you."

Hoseok forced a smile. He knew Yoongi was trying to lighten the mood. He always does that when Hoseok feels down or just when Hoseok is tired.

"Hyung," Jungkook placed a hand on Hoseok's shoulder, his expression serious. "You can talk to us about anything."

"Jungkookie's right," Taehyung said from the sofa, arms and legs wrapped around a pillow.

"What's up," Jin walked into the room. "Oh! I thought I was late but I wasn't."

Namjoon walked in and closed the door. Everyone changed positions with Hoseok, Jungkook and Jimin were sitting on the ground while Yoongi and Taehyung were on the sofas with Jin and Namjoon sitting on the arm rests.

"Is everything okay with Y/N?" Yoongi asked, eyes serious. He knew Hoseok almost didn't make it last time when the two of you went your own separate ways.

Hoseok took a deep breath and then said calmly, "I'm thinking of asking Y/N to marry me."

Everyone but Namjoon froze.

Jin was the one who spoke once it hit him, "Wait, what? You mean you're going to ask her?"

Hoseok nodded.

Knowing how nervous Hoseok must be feeling, Yoongi said, "I say, go for it." He flashed his gummy smile. "You love her and we're not getting any younger too."

Jimin was still surprise by the announcement, but gathered himself and said, "I don't know what to say... but I'm happy for you."

He was. Being Hoseok's longest roommate, Hoseok could tell that Jimin meant every word.

"Don't look so guilty," Jin said and Hoseok's eyes went to him. "You know I'll always support you."

Hoseok smiled. Yes, he knew that. Seokjin have always been loving towards the members. He knew that Seokjin will continue loving all six of them until the very end.

"Ah, this is a good thing," Jungkook said from beside Hoseok. He placed a hand on Hoseok's shoulder and squeezed, knowing how nervous Hoseok would be. "So don't worry too much."

Even though Jungkook was the youngest, it felt nice to hear Jungkook give words to reassure him.

Taehyung then went on to say, "We've been with each other for years, of course we're happy for you."

"Thanks," Hoseok said. He meant it.

Namjoon was laughing. "Hobi."

All eyes went to him and a smile was forming on Hoseok's lips.

"We were watching TV and he was so nervous about what you guys might say to him."

Everyone laughed at that.

"Why?" Seokjin said. "Are you scared we'll all say no?"

"You're crazy," Jimin said, smiling. "We'll never hold you back, you know that."

Hoseok knows that. He loves the members like his own family. They've been through thick and thin together ever since day one.

"Why did you tell Namjoon first?" Yoongi arched an eyebrow. "Maybe he's leader, but Seokjin and I are the oldest here."

"Now that you mentioned it, I'm a little offended," Seokjin said.

The whole room burst into laughter before they all started asking Hoseok what he has planned.
