Chapter 3: What lies within the eye?

TC:

I emerge from the portal to an urban wasteland, there is barely muted color in this sorry excuse for a world. I pull up the Holoscreen to see what is going on here, a cult seems to drain the energy from this world, even so, 5 entities seem immune from the wraith-like force leeching the life force out of this place,

5 objects why does that seem all too familiar?

This landscape also seems to trigger a lapse of forgotten memories.

Something is ringing in my consciousness.

"Pre-age 1."

But what could come before age 1?

Age 1 was the first age of existence wasn't it, the oblivion machine was formed in the pre age, but literally, nothing would exist pre-big bang.

"You don't understand your origin, the memories of it were locked in a box, you will remember though."

The stray thought passed, but something about it made me want to recall it to look at it further. The thought feels alien and ancient yet, seems very familiar.

"You should continue on with your mission, all will be revealed, in due time."

I start heading toward the 5 energy signatures, passing several grayed out groups of people on the way.

None of them notice me even though I pass right by their vision, either they are too distracted or frozen to see, or I am invisible to them.

Huh, I must be invisible to them, the wraith-like force leeching life force from this world should not be sapping their attention span.

I wonder how I complete the mission then. How do I communicate if I can't be seen?

As if to answer that question, I am noticed by just one person in a passing glance, and then everyone else ignores me again.

Ok so if I want to be seen or need to be, I can be. That solves that issue.

I continue down the gray path to the cul de sac the 5 energy signatures are in.

On the way, I see house after house in increasing states of disrepair. This force is really taking a toll here, and it seems to be stronger here at the cul-de-sac. Why then, are the 5 signatures not affected by the leeching effect that is taking the rest of this city by the neck?

I enter the center and see the 5 energy signatures. It's 5 kids?!?

Something does not add up, there has to be a reason the life force leech is strongest here, but they are not affected.

I look at the profile of the kids.

One of them called Monika seems to be closer to my signature then seems possible.

I do an intensive scan on her, the screen reads: detected transdimensional,

Be advised things done in immaterial form may be discovered more natural here than average.

Things done in immaterial form may be detected more natural than average???

Does that mean my scan was noticed?

As if to answer my question, two of the girls look at where my energy force is located at that moment.

"What are you looking at Monika and Libi?" says the girl dubbed Sayori in my signature panel.

"I felt something strange." Said Monika.

"So did I," said the girl labeled Libi, in my signature panel, " the source seems to be coming from over there."

They walk closer to me as I try harder to hide my energy signature. Curses, my energy signature is too pronounced and strong to obfuscate from them. Let's hope this does not escalate. I decide to take this opportunity to scan libi more thoroughly. How was she able to see my signature? She shows no signs that she can see energy waves. The scan brings up this: warning, project libitina host found, caution advised when making contact, cult worships her dormant ability.

Project libitina? My head reels with more lost memories attempting to return. Not now, I need to focus.

As I attempt to prevent myself from being knocked out by a memory restoration, I notice Libi coming closer to my energy signature.

"This void seems to radiate pure energy," she says.

"It seems to radiate pure energy" I've heard that before right? It's too much I am overtaken by something far more ancient than me. This timeless force takes full control and brings me to view.

"Ah, I thought you were there." Says Monika.

Libi still seems shocked, unable to comprehend what could cause such a burst of energy.

"Well one of you remembers, the rest of us did not plan for that, I guess transdimensionals also remember old ages," says the force who took me over,

"Your not the TC I recall from the first age though, you seem much more ancient." Says Monika, "I thought TGG locked you up after the fiasco in the second age."

"He tried, but since I put him into being no cage he made could hold me," says the ancient force, "and I come with every mortal form and every awakened TC, I am the source of their power."

"Anyway enough chit chat I have a job to do and one of you knows what it is."

"You also know what happens when you do that job, Delta," said Monika.

"Yes, but with me, in control, I can make a few changes to prevent that part. "

This entity can mold realty like clay, it seems like there was a reason he was boxed up by TGG. I just hope I can gain control, so we don't have to find out why that was.

The entity controlling me goes and lifts up Libi being careful not to crush her in the weight of the forces lifting her up.

Then he taps her, and she slumps over asleep. As Delta pulls the gift out of her, I can feel its energy matrix. Its signature could be spelled out in one word, corruption and I could see how dangerous it was. Images of what would happen if it activates flashed overhead, terror was the word to describe them. Then I see Delta pushing purity into the gift. Red sparks and beams of blue light exploded out of the gift as it fights the transmutation to creation. But when he finishes fireworks set off and the gift is a pure blue glow. After Delta is done, he activates the gift and color explodes back into the world. Delta gives Libi a glowing key designed to keep the connection to creation.

After that, he retreats within me and gives me back full control but not without saying one more thing to me, "I will return."
