*2007*
"Yeay! I get to see my best friend today!" my 5 year old self said. I couldn't wait to see her again. "She is my everything!" I added.
I never got to see her in the weekends. Why? I always asked my mom.
"Because I don't like your best friend or her mom and she doesn't like me or you either." I got sad at what she told me.
"I am just 5 years old but I love my best friend so much! I never want to lose her." I screamed to my mom and resulted me into getting in trouble.
"You don't scream at me like that young lady! Do you understand!?" My mom asked.
I ignored and cried in my bed.
"Get your clothes out now! You have to go to school." She said in a calmer voice making me feel better. I obeyed and then I went to the restroom to take a shower with my moms help. I finished showering and I prepared everything to go to school.
*In school*
My mom dropped me off as usual, hugged me and kissed my goodbye, and left to work. My bestfriend wasn't there yet. I couldn't wait to see her. But I waited... and waited... and waited. She never arrived. I asked my teacher if she knew why my bestie didn't show up and a waterfall of tears went down my cheeks when I heard what my teacher said.
"She changed schools and cities dear... she won't be coming back." my teacher said. I was heartbroken. How could she have left me without saying goodbye? I didn't understand much yet since I was only 5 but I did know I was sad. I thought I would've gotten over it until the events of the afternoon happened.
