The next day at school went by so fast. And the day after that. And the day after that.

I hung out with Luke and his friends, because that was just the easiest thing to do, but nothing really happened. It was just school. No different to my previous school, really, except this one wasn't filled with rick jerks. Just normal jerks. Thank God.

Things began to get interesting in the second week.

I felt a tap on my shoulder as I was walking down the hallway. Slightly startled, I spun around, ready to punch whoever was messing with me. Of course that isn't how it went down.

It was her.

That girl who sat by the window. That girl who was always in the corner of my vision, in the corner of my mind. That girl who I thought I recognised, and who was killing me with every passing moment at the belief that she had probably never seen me before.

Seriously, where did I know her from?

She smiled. "It's Thalia, right?"

I nodded. "Yeah?"

"I..." She took a deep breath. "I don't know if you remember me, but my name is Reyna."

I nodded again. "Yeah, Luke told me-"

Her eyes widened. "You know Luke?"

"Well, yeah-"

"You cannot stay friends with him," she said, harshly. "Trust me when I say he cannot be trusted."

I frowned. "Why- Who are you?" At this point, all I really wanted to know was why she was so against Luke. He seemed like a pretty cool dude, what would she have against him? Any and all thoughts of me possibly knowing her in the past had faded.

Reyna groaned. "I told you my name is Reyna. Again, you probably don't remember me, but I remember you. I care for you, ok? And hanging out with Luke is a death wish."

I was silent for a moment. "Reyna who?"

"Reyna Avila Ramírez-Arellano."

I blinked.

She sighed. "You probably know me better as Ra-Ra. But don't say that out loud!"

Suddenly, everything came flooding back. She was Reyna, Nico's friend. We had talked a couple times on Skype, but I had completely forgotten about her.

"You... you were friends with Nico," I stated.

"Still am. We still talk," she replied.

"Wait..." This was just too perfect. "That means you can contact Nico. And... Jason. And everyone back home. Oh my God."

She smiled. "I mean, I guess? I can talk to Nico, at least."

I grabbed her hands, excitedly. "Dude, this is awesome! This is perfect, thank you!"

"I-"

"Meet me after school, we need to talk," I said, and gently kissed her hands. "Thank you, again!"

And then I was gone. I had forgotten about the situation with Luke, and about the situation with Reyna, and all that was on my mind was him.

Jason.

This was my chance.
