You are the one who will break the darkness

You, the one with the fire in your eye like

Two suns in the sky and a cheeky smile

You, the one who waits at the bus stop with

Planets and galaxies inside your bones

You, when the hour comes that weakness and strength

Are seen to be vulnerability

Skin spreads itself thick and doors are shutting

Will you be the one to open them up?

When we pass on the street and there’s silence

It’s noisy because there are words unsaid

That echo and leave patterns in my thoughts

Asking are our differences deep inside

Asking why do we have to make them hide?
