When I opened my eyes, I was in a peaceful meadow but I knew something was wrong. I was still dreaming, but dreaming about what? I looked around for answers, but there was nothing I tried waking up, but it was no use, my eyes were shut.
"Why am I here?" I heard my question echo in my mind. I saw my wolf pup playing in the field so I ran towards her. She came running towards me saying,
"Wake up Del, wake up!"
Then I opened my eyes. I felt around to make sure I wasn't dreaming. I felt the smooth Oak Wood bench and the honking from the cars passing by, then I knew I was awake. Kaara was laying by my side.
"Kaara, I had a weird dream, You were there and you were talking." I said, getting up. I put on my soft jacket and headed off towards the city. Kaara was always at my side, anywhere. Once we hit the city pavement we had to move slower from all the traffic.
"So Kaara where do you want to eat?" Kaara sniffed around and ran towards the smell.
"Kaara slow down!"
I finally caught up with her.
"This place looks to expensive Kaara. Hmm, follow me, I know a good place."
We walk a few feet down the street. The shop was called Susan's Cabin. We went inside and looked at the menu.
"We only have $15 so we have to use it wisely."
Kaara pointed her nose at a oatmeal cookie that was $3 and I got a coffee and a bagel for $5. We sat outside eating our food when we heard a storm. It sounded like a tornado, wind flowing through my clothes and in my hair, then we saw it, a massive tsunami over the horizon. I stood there for a few seconds. then started to run toward the other side of town with Kaara at my side.
"It's getting closer Kaara! we gotta run faster!" then I tripped over a rock and scraped my knee, I tried to get up but I couldn't. when I looked up I saw the water high above me. Kaara came running towards me, but before I knew it, I was under water.
"Am I dead?"
"No." said a mysterious voice.
"Wh-who are you, Show your self." But it was too dark to see anything.
"Don't you remember me?" Says the voice, getting closer and closer.
"W-well, n-no."
"Here, let me make it brighter for you." As it started turning brighter I looked behind me and saw, a fire wolf. I tripped and fell backwards, but the wolf came closer and closer until it felt like I was going to melt. then it started to speak.
"Now do you remember me?" I looked closer at the face of the wolf.
"K-Kaara?"
"Yep!"
"What happened? All I Remember was that tsunami."
"Look up." As I looked up I saw water swirling around us.
"Whoah! When did this get here?"
"I don't know." The water stopped flowing over us and the sun was shining again. I looked around and there was nothing left, it was lifeless. most of the buildings were broken or toppled over, streets were cracked, the trees, the animals, there was nothing left in the city. We walked down the street examining the worn-down buildings.
"It looks like a ghost town." I said, kicking a small piece of broken pavement. I looked up at the broken lamp posts and saw a few leaves blowing in the wind.
