"Mar!" My bestfriend April yelled

"Yes!" I yelled back

"Girll them fine boys back outside!"

I quickly got up and grabbed my car keys. Okay, basically, its these fine boys that live in our apartment complex. We are in college. So, not everytime, but usually we make up a reason to go outside to talk to them.

We walked outside after I grabbed my shoes and went downstairs.

"Waspoppin, Mar. Whatsup, Nae" Chris said

Chris was the one I had a crush on.

"Hey Chris. Hay Milo" I greeted back

Milo was Aprils crush. He wasnt a talker but he wasnt shy. He's just distant. He only talks to Chris. Chris is the only person you'll see him around. If its not Chris, then he's by himself.

Yall probably asking who Nae is. Nae is April. Her name is; April Janae Williams. Mines is Mari Camilla Scott.

"Where yall headin" Chris asked as I unlocked the doors to my Nissan Altima 2018.

"Store to get some snacks" Nae said

"Word? Let us ride withcha." Chris said

I nodded my head signaling them to hop in. We got in and drove off. We turned the radio on and me and April's song came on.

The reason why this was currently MY favorite song was because im going  through something like that. Im experiencing something a girl should ever go through.

Anyways, we kept singing and driving. We got to a stop light and my phone dinged.

Eric: bitch where you at

Hoe#8: Eric leave me alone dawg im hanging with some friends

Eric: bitch you betta not be hanging with no niggas or ima HANG you.
Read 9:00 am

I sighed putting my phone down as the red light turned green on time. We drove off and made a right. My phone kept blowing up and I felt as someone grabbed it but didnt worry because I thought it was April.

I pulled up to the store and parked.

"Put yo finger print in" i heard Chris say to April.

I looked back and thought he was holding her phone since we have the same one. We got out and walked in.

"Nae you got my phone?" I asked ready to text Eric back.

"No. Chris got it." She said

I quickly snapped my neck to Chris who was typing away on my phone. I walked fastly over to him and snatched my phone back. He looked at me and his facial expression changed quickly

"What are you doing? You trying to get me killed?!" I asked scrolling through the messages

"Mane you let this nigga talk/treat yo ass like that? No wonder thats yo favorite song. You going through it ." He said gettin loud

I grabbed his arm and took him outside

"THIS doesn't concern you. Dont worry about it" i said putting it in my fanny pack.

"Mar that shit not coo. Fuck you mean this don't concern me? Mane this nigga just basically threatened you." He snapped

He snatched my arm and rolled up my sleeves examining all the scars and bruises on me

"Mar you deadass or you prankin me" he said seriously

I snatched my arm back

"Once before THIS doesn't concern you." I said walking back into the store.

I grabbed my snacks and stuff then paid for it. We got back in the car and the ride home was silent. The only thing you heard was the music. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw as Chris was highly pissed.

Aint nobody tell him to touch my phone. Then again, im dumb for not realizing it was my phone.

The silence was broken when Chris asked a question.

"Why you'on leave em" He said

April snapped her head towards me and I did the same back to her. Milo sat there confused

"C-can we talk about this... later?" I stuttered

"Why we cant talk about this now? Nae should know. What, she in that kind of relationship too?" He asked

"Chris-" i was cut off

"So, you been swerving other niggas all because one nigga threatening you to stay with him? Thats crazy as fuck. Yean got nobody to beat his ass?" He said

I swallowed and turned back into the apartment complex. I parked and Milo and April got out.

"Talk about it now?" He asked

"No. Never. Ever. Ive tried.. okay? I tried. I cant so fuck it. Im stuck and forever will be stuck till that nigga dies." I said

I snatched my car keys and got out the car slamming the door. I really wanted to cry but I didnt. I walked pass April and Milo and up the stairs then went into the apartment and into my room. I closed the door and laid down. Ugh!
