Alyssa had been going to the same coffee shop for the last three weeks, at the same time, and for the same reason. Her friends didn't know about where she went every Fridays after school. She didn't want to share her secret with anyone, afraid of what other may think.
"Hey Alyssa! Your regular?" said Jon. He always worked on Fridays. He had been there since she came in. "One awesome tea for my favorite costumer!"
"Hey Jon, thanks. It's been a really long week." And it had. Her friends had started to notice her absence every Friday, but she couldn't tell them in case they made fun of her. It was a small part of her life she didn't like to share. Or more important, someone she didn't want to share. "Is...um...you know ...here today?"
"Your talking about that guy you keep staring and fangirling every time he leaves?" Jon said. "No, he hasn't been here all day. But don't worry he never misses a performance. So go sit your little butt over there and enjoy your tea before you force me to charge you for it" Jon said joking while pushing her to the table close to the little stage.
Just when she had sat at the table the bell on the door rang. She decided to ignore it and keep on staring outside of the window. She was trying to figure out what to tell her friends for blowing them off once again. Just then someone came up to her table and cleared their throat.
"Um...do you mind if i put my guitar case in this chair?" Alyssa turned her head towards the source of the voice. And there he was. In his perfect blond hair that falls in his eyes, and perfect, oh so perfect brown eyes. She had been staring a while so she quickly shook her head.
"um...y-yes...you can put your case guitar...i mean you guitar case on the chair" Alyssa was blushing and just started to stare at the floor. "I'm Alyssa by the way....just in case you wanted to know...which i mean you wouldn't really want to know my name, cause you only asked to put your-"
The boy had to put his hand on her mouth to stop her rambling. "It's okay, I'm Riker, by the way, and I did want to know your name." the boy smiled at Alyssa. "Are you staying to hear me play?"
Alyssa nodded her head quickly. "Yeah, I'm staying"
"Good." Riker said and went up on the stage. "Hello everybody. Thanks for letting me play here today. This first song goes out to my newest friend Alyssa. Hope everybody likes it."

Throughout the song Riker had been staring at Alyssa. When he finished his song they where still staring at each other, if people in the cafe where clapping, they didn't know for they where lost in each others gaze. Alyssa was the first one to break their gaze, for she had received a text from her mom that she was needed at home. She looked up at Riker and saw that he had already started another song. She scribbled something in her napkin and rushed out the coffee shop.
