A Fae's Beginning

Narrator's POV

Demons exist. Many don't believe it. Many say they are just from fairy tales or scary stories. They do exist, just not in the same world. Some wish to remain in the demon world, the Abyssal Plains, and some desire to leave and live among humans.

The Abyssal Plains is the home for all demons, it is majorly ruled by the Demon Lord, however he desires full control of the Abyssal Plains. Only royalty, such as the Demon Lord and his five sons live in luxury, however his eldest is given education and the rest are considered inferior and are replacements for the eldest should he fall. The rest of the demons live in total discomfort and chaos, they struggle to survive, and the Demon Lord pays them no mind. A variety of demons live in the Abyssal Plains, however they are not the only magical beings in the worlds.

By meaning Worlds there are more than one. There's the human world, the Abyssal Plains, Hell, Heaven, and Purgatory. Each world contains beings or life. The human world, as said in the name are where humans reside. Heaven is a world where Angels live and it is a place bathed in light. Angels are said to watch over the human world, and said that their powers can remove memories of humans, and can cause rebirth. Hell is where Devils live, and they live in massive chaos. Devils rely on their connection to Hell in order to use their power, if that connection weakens they weaken. Devils as well only follow orders from higher ranked Devils. Purgatory is a place similar to the human world, however time is faster there and the beings that live there are Vampires. They are beings able to turn others to them, with just a bite. They as well suck the blood of their victims, and can perish by sunlight.

These worlds remain separate from each other, however they are all in close proximity to each other. With strong enough magic, beings from the other worlds are able to cross. However the cost of magic is energy. The use of magic can be dangerous, if not used wisely. A excess usage of magic can shorten someone's life or drain their energy. Magic is forgotten by the humans, and it became lost as time passed. Humans lived in ignorant bliss and considered the Angels and Devils a part of religion and were seen as holy and unholy figures. Vampires were considered a myth and were used for horror films and horror stories. Demons were seen as evil beings and many steered clear of them. However very few humans study the mystery behind these figures, why are they here? Are they with us? Will they harm us? Those questions were often left unanswered.

But regardless demons exist and they could be living among us. We just don't know it yet. One certain family knows that all too well...

3rd person POV

The (L/n) family is a normal family with a not so normal life. The family is connected with demons. (M/n) (L/n) is a demon know as a Fae, otherwise known as a fairy. They often have magic and can heal and enjoy nature. They are as well quite mischievous. (D/n) (L/n) is a human who fell in love with (M/n) and even though she was a demon, she loved him back. Even after she revealed she was a Fae, (D/n) still loved her and wanted to marry her. She gladly accepted and the got married.

A could of years after their marriage they had a child. They named the child (Y/n). However this child was half human, half Fae. With that the parents were unsure if their child was going to have the powers their mother contained. But despite that they cared for the child and cared for it for over 18 years. The child is in high school, a senior, but has made very little friends. Afraid of that he/she reveals that he/she is a Fae. If they found out who knows what could happen. That is a constant concern in his/her mind, but he/she is fine due to the Fae magic not being awakened yet. Regardless he/she lives life normally, but remains distant other than those he/she trusts.

Another school day has arrived and the sun had risen. (Y/n) rises from his/her bed and yawns. Today was a new day and today he/she was going to make a friend.

(Y/n)'s POV

As I yawned I slowly got up from my bed. I looked through my closet and I pulled out a (f/c) shirt and a pair of jeans. I then put on some white socks and my favorite pair of shoes. Once I got dressed I went into the bathroom and did my thing. I then brushed my teeth and did my hair. I'm all set for the day!

I get out the bathroom and head to the living room when my mother is making breakfast. "Morning mom." I said. "Good morning (Y/n). I'm making pancakes for breakfast. Want some?" She asked. "Yes I'd love some." I responded with a smile. She then gave me a plate with two pancakes. I then sat down at the kitchen table with my plate and grabbed a fork from the middle of the table. I began to cut up my pancakes and then I saw my dad come into the kitchen.

"Good morning dad." I say as I'm eating my pancakes. "Good morning (Y/n)." He says to me and then turns to my mom. "Good morning my sugar fairy." He says giving my mom a kiss on the cheek. "Good morning honey. Are you off to work?" She asks. "Yup and I gotta go now. Just gotta doing something..." he then gives my mom a kiss on the lips that last for a few seconds and as he's kissing her, he grabs a piece of toast.

He breaks the kiss and says goodbye to her. "Bye (Y/n)! I hope you have a good day at school!" He says as he gets closer to the door. "Thanks dad and have a good day!" I said and he leaves. A few minutes after he left I finished my breakfast and grab my bad so I can head to school.

I mainly walk to school because it wasn't far from my house, only like a ten minute walk. But as I was walking I felt something strange behind me. It felt dark... yet familiar. Then all of a sudden a car passed by me and that feeling went away. The car that passed had Mika Anderson inside and I saw this as an opportunity. Maybe I can be friends with her.

After a few minutes of walking I was at the front of the school. I began to walk inside when I saw Mika hanging out with her friends Suzu and Naomi. I was getting nervous thinking that asking her to be my friend would bad idea. She doesn't know me that well so what's the point. But I have try otherwise I'll regret it. I haven't made a friend in this school, well a HUMAN friend, so this going to be my first. I breathed in deep and summoned my courage to talk to her.

"Um hi..." I said in very low and shy tone. She didn't look at me, perhaps she didn't hear me. "Um hello Mika." I saw a little louder that before. She then turns to me. "Oh hello. Who are you? And how do you know my name?" She asked in a polite manner. "My name is (Y/n) and we're in the same class." I respond. "Also nice meet you Suzu and Naomi." I said and they waved to me in response.

"Anyway Mika I was hoping we could get to know each other and hang out. That is... if you're free." I ask. Mika looks to Suzu and Naomi. They both nod at her and then she looks at me. "Well after school, we were going to head to the pink lady cafe. Do you want to come along?" Mika asked. I nod. "Yeah that's sounds fine. What time do you want me to be there?" I asked. "Can you be there at 4:30?" "Yeah I can." I responded. "Alright we'll see you there." Mika said as she and her friends went to class. I walk behind them and head my class as well.

I smile brightly as I entered the classroom. This is my chance to make a  friend. I have a feeling that today is going be a great day! But that feeling from before, I just can't shake it. Why do I feel it now? I shook my head at the thought. I don't need to think about that now. Why I do need to think is one thing... where's the pink lady cafe?
