Today was Lotus's first day at Donsfor  High School. She was alone and didn't have any friends, considering she had just moved here.

She looked up at the looming high school and sighed.

Lotus rushed inside and headed straight for her locker. She had been to orientation and knew her way around.

Lotus shoved her stuff into her locker and grabbed her books for English.

"Hey! You look new!" A voice came from behind Lotus, making her jump.

"Ah! Where are my manners?" The voice said. "I'm Emily, nice to meet cha!" Emily said, putting her hand out for Lotus to shake.

Lotus shook her hand cautiously. "My Irene this girl is peppy" Lotus thought.

Emily noticed the look on Lotus's face and frowned.

"I knew it. I'm too peppy for you.I'll just leave." She said, looking down and walking away.

"No. No. You've got it all wrong. I'm just not used to meeting new people." Lotus said, smiling.

"I'm Lotus. Nice to meet you too." She said, putting her hand out.

Emily smiled and shook Lotus's hand.

"So, you said you were new?" Emily said, breaking the hand shake.

"Well I never said that I was new, but yes, I am." Lotus said, smiling.

"I kinda guessed. Anyway, my mom ran orientation, so I know most of the people here." Emily said.

Lotus thought back to orientation, trying to remember Emily.

"I don't remember you. Either you weren't there or you're a ninja." Lotus said, stifling a laugh.

The two girls ended up laughing uncontrollably in the hallway, looking like dorks.

"What's so funny, ladies?" A suave voice came from behind them, making Lotus jump.

They both turned around to see the most attractive guy Lotus had ever seen.

(a/n wow that was cheesy)

"Sorry if I startled you. My name's Sky." He said putting his hand out.

Lotus blushed as she shook his hand.

"I'm L-lotus." She said, tucking  a strand of loose hair behind her ear.

"Nervous are we?" Sky said, smirking.

"This boy needs to stop before I loose my mind"

"I-it's my first d-day." Lotus said, trying to make her words as steady as possible.

"Ah. First days are always tough," Sky said. "But, I'm sure you'll do fine. You look independent, strong." He said.

"He needs to stop. Now."

"Well, see you later." He said, waving as he walked away from the two girls.

It took Lotus a while to actually comprehend what just happened.

"OK. Made new friend, met SUPER hot guy, and is currently trying not to nosebleed all over the floor like Eleven."

"That's Sky. He's the most popular student here." Emily said.

She leaned in closer and whispered, "Not to mention super hot too!"

Lotus smiled nervously, her face turning the color of the cherry she had on her sundae last night.

She cringed.

She'd rather not remember last night.
