Running Away

Vanessa's POV

        It was the middle of the night. Yesterday was my birthday or as Halloween. Yep, this is the first day of November. I wont be here for Laura's birthday tho :( I was sick of all this. I couldn't take it anymore. I knew that I had to run away. All these stupid interviews and stuff was too much. Everyone saying that I should be in a new movie or still act in a new show. I don't want people saying what I should do. The only reason why me and Laura got into acting was because our dad lost his job and we needed the money. And besides, this seems more of Laura's speed, but not mine. I decided to leave. I will miss Laura but, its better if I go. I grab a duffle bag and I tip toe to the kitchen. I put some snacks like chips, candy and stuff like that. I put water bottles and other drinks in it too. I go back to my room and I take a box that was under my bed. I open it and a grab huge wads of cash that I earned from Switched At Birth. I know, why am I thinking of running away now? 'Cause I needed to finish Switched At Birth. with their successful season 4. Anyway I look at my duffle bag and I put the money in it. I didn't think that it was too much so I grabbed more wads of cash that I got for my birthday. Lets just say, my whole family is rich and so are my friends and they're not good with birthday presents. In the end I just grabbed all of the money. I also put most of my clothes into the duffle bag. My shirts, pants, shorts, shoes and socks. I took my phone and my charger and put it in the duffle bag too. I open one of my drawers and I take out a piece of paper and a pen.

Dear Everyone,

        I decided that it was enough. I didn't like all this, bye mom and dad. I know you like Laura better than me. I didn't guess that, it just showed. I'll miss all of you. I love you guys so much even if you don't love me. Don't bother looking for me 'cause you'll never find me. Bye

        I tear slips out of my eye but I knew that if I wanted out of all this I knew I had to go. I tape it to my door and I walk to Laura's room with the duffle bag in my hands. I walk in and shes sleeping peacefully. Another tear slides down my cheek. I'll miss her soo much. I leave the duffle bag outside the door and I walk over to her bed and I kiss her cheek.

Vanessa: "I'll miss you Laur. I love you"

        I say that and I walk towards the door. I then hear a slight voice call me. 

Laura: "Ness, is that you? Why are you still up?"

        Uh oh, what do I say? She woke up. She looks very sleepy. Should I tell her that I'm leaving her? No, I can't do that. I'm her only sister.

Vanessa: "Uh, I don't know. I couldn't sleep"

Laura: "Then why are you in my room?"

        Dam, now what do I say. Ooh, I got it.

Vanessa: "I wanted to see if you were ok"

Laura: "Hmm, (Yawns) Can you sleep with me, I can't sleep"

        Ugh, If I say no she'll be sad. I guess I could lay with her. I walk over to her and Ii lay in bed with her. She sleeps on my shoulder while I just look at the ceiling. I'll miss her so much. This is the last time I'll be with her. I love Laura. I kiss the top of her head. After like 10 minutes when I heard her snore I decided it was time to leave. I then slide out of her hands. I kiss her cheek one last time and I leave. I grab the duffle bag and I put on my shoes. i grab my car keys and I walk out the door locking it. I sit in my car and put the duffle bag right next to me. I look at the house one last time.

Vanessa: "Time for a new life"

        I say and I drive away. Next stop... L.A!
